Department: Enrollment Management
Reports To: Dean of Enrollment Management
FLSA Status: Full-time, Exempt

educational programs which advance knowledge in the area of Quality Systems Management
(QSM), to facilitate the codification of QSM “best practices,” and to create innovative models
with significant, enterprise-wide or national significance and application.
Job Description
Admissions Counselor is responsible for building relationships with prospective students and
those who influence them, generating and collecting prospective student information for
academic programs at NGS through responding to inquiries with appropriate enrollment
information, encouraging and counseling students in the admission and managing an assigned
group/corporate applicants toward matriculation to NGS. Application review is also significant
functions of this position.
Essential Functions
 Assist by presenting about the NGS and its programs to individuals, groups and corporate.
 Maintain contact with prospects and applicants via phone, fax, e-mail, etc.
 Counsel prospective students regarding all aspects of admissions and financial aid
process.
 Maintain current knowledge of NGS programs, activities, and opportunities and
effectively communicate these to prospective students and parents.
 Participate in the planning and implementation of on-campus and off-campus admissions
and recruitment events.
 Respond promptly to student inquiries and requests.
 Connect prospective students with other college resources, including faculty, student
services, academic office, and business office.
 Participate in educational events, college fairs and information sessions.
 Evaluating and making admission & scholarship decision on applications.
 Accountability: The position must support Standards of Practice and Accreditation
compliance.
 Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
 Bachelor’s degree required.
 Developed computer skills in Microsoft Office, database software.
 Must display the ability to be a self-driven, results orientated team player working
independently with minimal supervision.
 Effective communication skills are required, both written and verbal.
 Excellent critical thinking skills, sound decision making, prioritization skills, and prompt
follow up are key elements.
