GOODWOOD BREWING CO.
PHILLIP DEARNER
Bluegrass Brewing Co. production
facility has rebranded as Goodwood
Brewing Co.
For over a decade Bluegrass Brewing
Co., on 636 E. Main Street in the
heart of Nulu, has been bottling and
kegging a variety of BBC beers for
distribution throughout five states.
Now after much planning, BBC has
reached the end of the bottling line
and is being rebranded to Goodwood Brewing Co. Ted Mitzlaff CEO, Phillip
Dearner President and Joel Halblieb COO have been working with Doe
Anderson for the past year on the new concept. The brewery is not only
acquiring a new name but a whole new brewing philosophy that will
concentrate on creating beers that are wood processed. Wood processing
will be featured throughout their product portfolio using different kinds of used
barrels, Bourbon- Red Wine- Brandy, to name a few and also using various
woods in the brewing process to add wood aged characters to their new line
of beers.
Along with the rebrand the Taproom has been totally remodeled. What was
grandpa’s basement is now a wide open space featuring a ton of natural light
provided by a new glass main entrance and the addition of a huge window in
what was previously an arched entranceway into the building. The room also
features an all new draft system modeled as a bourbon barrel, walls have
been knocked down creating a lot more space, wood floors have been
refinished and poured floors finished to look like limestone. Goodwood Brewery
opened the doors to the new taproom May 8th. The taproom is open TuesdayFriday 4:00 - 11:00 p.m. and Saturday 2:00 - 11:00 p.m.

ART OPENING │ BOB LOCKHART
“Untold Portraits and Profoundly Untrue Statements” by Bob Lockhart.
Revelry is honored to present Louisville legend Bob Lockhart in another astounding
show titled “Untold Portraits and Profoundly Untrue Statements.” Bob Lockhart is one
of this city’s most illustrious and renowned artists. Some know him as their art professor
from Bellarmine University. Some know him as the wacky guy with the crazy sculptures.
All others know him simply as their dear friend, Bob. No matter how Bob has touched
your life, he always makes an impact and this new body of work is no exception.
This series depicts people of historical greatness, hysterical repute, and people he
has come to know over a cup of coffee. The likenesses of these individuals stirred a
reaction in the artist and spawned a new artistic endeavor for him. The portraits he
has created are realistic, almost truer than life when done in his uniquely Lockhart
style with Neo-color and Prismacolor pencils. The images titillate the viewer through
vibrant color and hypnotizing line work. Also included are statements the artist has
recently discovered which are paired with each drawing that may be attributed to its
subject, or maybe not. You will see Abe Lincoln, Ben Franklin, Jim James, and Teddy
Abrams, along with a few surprises too, so you won’t want to miss it!
“I’ve never done portraits before in drawing. So I’m really excited to show them to the world!” – Bob Lockhart
WHO: Bob Lockhart
WHAT: Untold Portraits and Profoundly Untrue Statements
WHEN: May 29th, 7:00 - 10:00 p.m. (show runs until July 8th)

JOYCE GARNER │ "BIG PAINTINGS" │ GARNER NARRATIVE
FIRST FRIDAY HOP │ JUNE 5, 6-9 PM (THROUGH JULY 31)
Garner's “Big Paintings” literally extend her ongoing series which takes place around a dinner table. Four wall-sized canvases
tell the complications of family through time. They are filled with hopes, regrets and wishes—from the past, and for the future.
Of this work, Garner says “It is like an ancestry chart or family tree with each choice branching onward... emotional dialogues,
interactions not just in a family but the history of the family which includes society at large and our natural world. Novels
rather than poems.” ▪

In 2001 the city of Louisville
launched the very first 'trolley hop,'
taking visitors, and locals around the
downtown to various galleries,
restaurants and shops.
Fast-forward to today that same concept is still going strong, add a new
electric 'green' bus of course. The original 'trolley hop' was actually a 'gallery
hop' and focused on the amazing art community here in Louisville. Today it is
so much more, but that same art community exists and thrives in the changes
over the years.
In a tribute to those artist, galleries and original community that helped build
the 'trolley hop' we are creating a Throwback to the Gallery Hop event to happen
on June 5, 2015. The Throwback Gallery Hop will feature all the Hop member
galleries and art exhibits.
Thanks to Old 502 and RYE you can enjoy drinks at each participating location.
Come enjoy a drink and look at some awesome art! Participating galleries:
Garner Narrative Contemporary Gallery
Swanson Contemporary
Paul Paletti Gallery
The Green Building Gallery
