from this local church!
Home For Children
Thank you for your giving to the SC Church of God Home
For Children. We gave $1000 for the Easter Offering to the
orphanage.
Scheduled for Surgery or a Medical Procedure?
Due to the continued growth of the church and for us to
take better care of you, we are needing to make a change
in our surgery/hospital policy. If you are having a scheduled
surgery/procedure please contact the church office
(telephone or email) and let the administrative assistant,
Lisa, know the date and the time of the procedure so we
can better serve you and your family with care.
United Scrip Program
Our church participates in the United Scrip program, which
offers you the opportunity to purchase gift cards for local
businesses while supporting the church financially at no
additional cost to you. Please see Dino or Marie Turpin for
information on the restaurants and stores participating.
Joy at Heart Senior Adult Fellowship
Attention Joy at Heart Seniors! We have a special guest
scheduled for Tuesday, July 7th at 6:00pm. Christy Capps
will be worshipping with us in song and Word. She grew up
in Oconee County, is a Pastor’s wife, songwriter, gifted
speaker and a joy to talk with. You do not want to miss this
time of being together. Bring someone with you! The meal
is covered dish. See you there!
College and Career Events
Nantahala Rafting Trip
On Saturday, July 25 at 3:00pm, the College and Career will
be heading to Bryson City, NC to spend the day rafting the
Nantahala River! All who are interested must let Emily
Cobb know by June 25th. Text Emily at 864-364-1117 with
any questions.
Sunday Lunch Fundraiser
The youth will be serving Lunch Sunday, July 12, following
the morning service. The menu will consist of grilled
marinated chicken, green beans, macaroni and cheese,
dessert, and drink. Cost is $8 per plate. Proceeds will go to
our trip for International Teen Talent. Please sign-up in the
foyer so we can plan food appropriately.
International Teen Talent
The International Teen Talent will be August 3-7, 2015 at
Lee University in Cleveland, TN. North Walhalla has a
number of youth that will be participating. They’ve worked
hard and this competition means so much to them. Please
be in prayer that God will work in and through them during
this time.
Men's Fellowship Meeting
The Men’s Fellowship has been canceled for July, as many
are busy with summer plans. We’ll pick back up with our
meeting in August. Hope to see you then!
Special Thanks
Special Thanks goes out to Jerry Campbell for helping
make our grounds look so beautiful!
