NURSE’S NOTES
Immunization Requirements for 2015-2016:
Students entering 6th grade in 2015-2016 school year will need the
following immunizations: 1 Tdap, 1 Meningococcal.
Students entering 12th grade in 2015-2016 school year are required to
have a Meningococcal booster.
Please plan accordingly and schedule an appointment. These
immunizations will be required at registration in the fall.

Alumni Banquet will be June 13, 2015 at the Oregon-Davis Jr/Sr High
School Cafeteria.
T-SHIRT ANYONE?
Don’t miss out on a chance to own an Oregon-Davis Football t-shirt!
The t-shirts are $8.00 for solid grey, $12 for silver tie dye. Available in
Jr/Sr High School Office. Proceeds will go to the Junior Class for Prom
supplies. Thanks in advance for your support.
RODEO UP!
Indiana High School & Jr. High Rodeo @ Saylor’s Arena on May 9 @
5:00 and May 10 @ 2:00 CST. The Band Flip Side will perform after the
rodeo on the 9th. Any student interested in riding a bull, running barrels
and other rodeo activities for the day can register online through the
Indiana High School Rodeo Association Tickets are $10.00 and are
available in the Jr./Sr. High School Office.
GIRLS SOFTBALL
The Walkerton Parks and Recreation has many positions available for
Girls Softball Ages 9-12 and 13-16. You can register on their website,
www.walkerton.org or email walkertonparks@walkerton.org or the
Walkerton Parks & Recreation Office @ 574-586-3638. Registration fee
is $30 for the season. Also Pam Jones at the Jr./Sr. High School has
registration forms.
ELEMENTARY ISTEP TESTING
Elementary Istep Testing is scheduled as follows:
Testing for the week of May 4th Grades 4 and 6 test on Monday, May
4th; Grades 3 and 5 testing Tuesday, May 5 , Wednesday, May 6,
Thursday, May 7 and Friday May 8.
Testing will finish up the week of May 11th with Grades 3 and 5 testing
Monday May 11 and Tuesday May 12th.
Parents, please help your children do their best by making sure your
child:
Gets plenty of sleep each evening
Has breakfast each morning (The school provides a free breakfast
every day)
Is at school on time each day.
LUNCH ACCOUNTS
Please make sure your children have enough funds in their lunch
accounts to get them to the end of the school year. We have 21 days of
school left starting on Monday. Lunch prices are K-5 $2.25, Grades 6-8
$2.35 and Grades 9-12 $2.45.
FRIDAY DISMISSALS
Remember Friday dismissal is earlier than the rest of the week.
Elementary will dismiss at 1:50 and Jr.-Sr. High School will dismiss at
2:05
PARENTS!!
Parents, please call the office with transportation changes no later than
1:00 pm when possible.
DISMISSAL TIME FOR 2ND SEMESTER
K-3 students board the buses at 2:25 PM, and 4th-6th grade students
board buses at 2:28 PM. Buses will leave the elementary by 2:30 PM.
ELEMENTARY YEARBOOKS
We still have 2013-2014 Elementary Yearbooks for sale!! You may
purchase them at the office. Cost is $10 each.
NEW CLASS COMPETITION
The elementary is collecting pop tabs for the Ronald McDonald House
Charities of Indiana. The winning class that brings in the most pop
tabs will get to enjoy McDonalds served to them at the school. Please
send the pop tabs to school in ziploc bags. Contest will end on May 15
MINI-RELAY FOR LIFE
Oregon-Davis Schools will be holding it’s 11th annual Mini-Relay for
Life, Friday, May 15, 2015. Dress up days and activities will be going
on the week of the relay. Please help raise money to donate to the
American Cancer Society in the name of our school by donating
change for your student’s classroom box, bringing in $1.00 for a FOOT
to put their name on, and by purchasing different times during the
week.
Please donate $1.00 the week of the event and help Oregon-Davis
Schools STOMP out Cancer!!!!
Starting on Friday, May 1st through Friday, May 15th, a variety of items
will be on sale in the foyer area during lunchtime.
Cancer Awareness Mini stuffed Footballs $2.00 each
Variety of tacky sack balls $2.00 each
Cancer Awareness rubber bracelets $2.00 each
Miscellaneous Items from past years $1.00 - $2.00
This year’s theme is Sports, “Tackling Cancer One
Day.” The proceeds will go to the American Cancer Society.
O-D Schools have donated $6,556.29 over the past 10 years.
