LENTEN WEEKDAY MASSES:

SATURDAY MASSES: 10 a.m. & 6 p.m. (First Mass of Sunday) .
On Wednesday mornings after the 9.30 a.m. Mass – the Stations of the Cross will be said.
On Thursday mornings Benediction is held after the 9.30 a.m. Mass.

Continues on Wednesday next 25th March from 8 – 9.30 p.m. The theme on Wednesday is `The Triumph of Virtue’ (Dan 13:1-9,15-17,19-30,33-62)
Do come and join us for this lovely gentle but engaging insight into story of the scriptures of Lent. Our speaker is Fr. Flor McCarthy SDB, A
Salesian Priest, a writer and catechist teacher, preacher and teller of stories. Light refreshments after in the Coffee Dock. Do come and join us.
OUR LADY’S PARISH CENTRE ANNUAL EASTER RAFFLE – Tickets are now being sold (3 sheets €5). The tickets are available
after 9.30 a.m. Mass each weekday in the Parish Centre. All proceeds go towards the maintenance and renewal of facilities in the centre Some of the
prizes include a Basket of Large hand crafted Easter Eggs by Lilly O’Brien and various other prizes The draw will be held in the Parish Centre on
Wednesday 1st April. Your support will be much appreciated..
ANNUAL EASTER PENITENTIAL SERVICE: – Pope Francis on confession “Forgiveness is not something we can give ourselves, one
asks forgiveness, one asks it of another person, and in confession, we ask forgiveness from Jesus.”
The Precepts of the Catholic Church regarding the Sacrament of the Eucharist and the Sacrament of Penance are
You shall confess your sins at least once a year. You shall receive the sacrament of the Eucharist at least during the Easter season.
Our Easter Penitential Service provides the means and will be held here in our church on Monday 30th March at 8 pm. (after 7.30 p.m. Mass) .
A Penitential Service will also be held in Confey Church on Tuesday 31st also at 8 p.m.
DO THIS IN MEMORY PROGRAMME:
The next Masses in this year’s Do This in Memory Programme takes place on Palm Sunday, 29th March at 11.00a.m. and 12.15p.m. The 11.00 a.m.
Mass is for the children and their families of 2nd Class Scoil Uí Dhálaigh and the 12.15p.m. Mass will be for the children and their families of the 2nd
Classes in Scoil Bhríde, Scoil Mhuire, and Scoil Eóin Phóil. This is a parish based programme for First Eucharist and the Do This in Memory Parent
Leaders would like to thank the parishioners, teachers, priests and families of the children for their continued understanding and co-operation.
NOVENA to ST. JOSEPH - St Joseph’s Young Priests Society - March 19th to 27th 2015 The nine day Novena to St. Joseph
which commenced on Thursday last 19th March, the Feast of St. Joseph, is continuing until Friday 27th March. The Novena Prayer to St. Joseph and a
Prayer for Vocations is being said at all daily Masses. Copies of the leaflet with the Novena Prayers and the Thought for each Day are available in
the Church porches and baptismal font and parishioners are welcome to take a copy home with them. The Monthly Meeting for St. Joseph’s
Young Priests Society will take place next Wednesday from 10 – 11 a.m. in the Parish Centre. All are welcome.
LEIXLIP, CONFEY & CELBRIDGE - PARISH CELLS OF EVANGELIZATION
There are now 15 cells between Leixlip, Confey & Celbridge parishes. A cell is a small home faith group that exists in and is
very much part of the parish community. Their purpose is “to share faith” and “to introduce others to a personal relationship
with Jesus Christ” all in a friendly & homely environment. Meetings are held in homes on a fortnightly basis bringing prayer
into the heart of the family and building friendship and community.. Everybody is invited to ‘Come and See’ and meetings are
generally held on Tuesdays, evenings or mornings. The March date is Tuesday next 24th. For further information please contact:

THANK YOU - The group of Friends & Neighbours who organised the benefit event for the Darlington family would like to thank most sincerely
each person who attended the table quiz, contributed to the fund and/or donated raffle prizes. There was an amazing response from the local
community, other parts of the country and abroad. Special thanks to St. Mary’s GAA club and to Mark and John who co-ordinated the quiz.
Your unprecedented generosity resulted in a total of €8,132.00. This figure includes €3,402 raised on the quiz night together with donations received
from individuals, local S.V.P. Conference, Parents from Scoil Eoin Phoil and Teachers and Students from K.W.E.T.B. Maynooth. The funeral bill
will be cleared and the balance given directly to the family. We thank God for blessing this event. Fr. John celebrated 7.25 am Mass on Monday 16th
March for all donors intentions.

The First Collection last weekend was €1.630. 00 This collection
is for priests in our own parish and for priests in poorer parishes,
has special appointments, are on sabbatical and who are sick and
retired. The SHARE collection for last weekend was €1,225.00
& on St. Patrick’s Day the 1st collection was €1434.00 & the
SHARE Collection €975.00. The collection for Parish
Maintenance/Development (envelopes) last weekend was
€964.19. Thank you for your continuing support.

struggles with faith, disease, authority and the power of Gospel love.
