OPPORTUNITIES FOR LENT
Lent has been providing us with golden
opportunities for spiritual growth. As the end of
Lent gets closer, you are encouraged to use these
opportunities for grace while you can!
SACRAMENT OF RECONCILIATION is
available this Tuesday and Wednesday, March 31st
and April 1st at 7:00 p.m.
HOLY THURSDAY: Mass of the Lord’s Supper
will be celebrated on April 2nd at 7:00 p.m. followed
by a procession to the repository. Adoration at the
repository will be held after the procession until
midnight.
GOOD FRIDAY: Celebration of the Passion,
Communion, and Adoration of the Cross will be held
at 3:00 p.m. Stations of the Cross and Veneration of
the Cross will be held at 7:00 p.m.
HOLY SATURDAY: Food blessing will be at 11:00
a.m. in the church. The Vigil Mass will be celebrated
at 7:00 p.m. There will be no confession or 5:00 p.m.
Mass.
PLEASE NOTE: There is no morning Mass on
Holy Thursday, Good Friday or Holy Saturday.
EASTER SUNDAY: Mass will be celebrated at
8:30, 10:00 and 11:30 a.m.
EASTER EGG HUNT
The Jr. CYO and Teen Life will host an Easter Egg
Hunt today, Sunday, March 29th after the 11:30 a.m.
Mass. All children ages 12 years old and younger are
welcome to join in the fun. Please meet in the hall.
EASTER FLOWERS
If you wish to donate flowers for our Easter Sunday
decorations, please call the rectory. If possible, a
donation of $20 would be appreciated. Deadline to
order is tomorrow, March 30th.

BAKE SALE
The Sodality of Our Lady of the Rosary will host a
Bake Sale this weekend, March 28/29 following all
the Masses. Please stop by the church hall to pick up
a delicious baked “goodie” and to support the
Sodality. As always, we are thankful for your
continued support.
HOLY THURSDAY
The celebration of the Lord’s Supper on Holy
Thursday concludes with a procession of transfer of
the Blessed Sacrament to the “Repository”. This
Holy Thursday, we are inviting everyone who will
be in church that evening to join in the procession.
We offer a special invitation to all the children of the
parish to join with Jesus as part of this wonderful
celebration. Children are asked to wear their
“Sunday Best” and meet in the church hall no later
than 6:30 p.m. All Altar Servers are also invited to
take a special role in this service and be vested in
your serving robes. Altar Servers should report to
the Baptism area and quietly wait for directions from
Father Brennan.
EASTER DECORATING COMMITTEE
Your help will be needed after the 7:00 p.m. Good
Friday Stations of the Cross on April 3rd. We ask the
faithful team of decorators to mark your calendar and
invite anyone else who is interested to come as well.
WORD AMONG US
During this Holy Season, opportunities for prayerful
progress abound. At the doors of church, The Word
Among Us booklets are available offering you one
such opportunity.
MONDAY ROSARY
All are invited to join us at 7:00 p.m. We will be
praying the Joyful Mysteries.
ROSARY CAFE
Rosary Café will be serving coffee, tea and
conversation on Sunday, April 19th from 9:00 to
11:15 a.m. in the church hall. All are invited to take
advantage of this great opportunity to mingle, chat
and enjoy a cup before heading home.

Registration forms for new Altar Servers are

entranceways. Any parish child (4th grade or above)
who would like to offer their service to God and our
parish in this special ministry, is invited to take one
of these forms, fill in the necessary information and
return it to Father Brennan no later than April 15th.

SUMMER CAMP
Don’t miss our great summer programs at Holy
Rosary Learning Center. We are now taking summer
registration for pre-school and school age children two
years of age through third grade. Call Carol Moyer at
380-0277 for more details. The camp will run on a
week to week or monthly basis. The Early Learning
Center is open from 7:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m.

PREP
The PREP students will sit as a class at the 11:30
a.m. Mass on Sunday, May 3rd. After Mass, the
students will participate in the May Procession. The
First Communion and Confirmation classes should
wear their sacramental robes. This is the last PREP
class for the year.
This year’s program has been a smooth and terrific
year. If anyone is interested in volunteering for our
next year’s program, please call our PREP directors,
Paul Friel (610-857-9091) or Jackie Townsley (610384-4482). Registration forms for next year’s
classes will be available shortly. Keep your eye on

SUNDAY FLOWERS
The bouquet at the BVM Shrine was donated in
memory of Karen Rambo by the family. The
bouquet at the St. Joseph Shrine was donated in
memory of Josephine Rambo by the family.
PRE-JORDAN
Parents and godparents presenting a child for
Baptism need to attend a preparation class in order
to be properly informed about the meaning of the
Sacrament of Baptism. The next class will be held
on Monday, April 6th at 7:00 p.m. in the last
classroom in the parish hall. To register, call Mrs.
Coxson at 610-384-5560.
PLEASE NOTE: Do not assume any date for
baptism before confirming the date with Father
Brennan. Before any date is finalized, all forms and
eligibility letters need to be delivered to the rectory.
EUCHARISTIC ADORATION
Everyone is invited to join in the all-day Adoration of
the Blessed Sacrament which is offered on the last
Monday of each month. Our next Eucharistic
Adoration will be held tomorrow, Monday, March
30th. The Blessed Sacrament is exposed after the 7:00
a.m. Mass and will remain exposed for adoration until
7:30 p.m. The Rosary will be prayed in common at
7:00 p.m. followed by the St. Jude Novena and
Benediction at 7:30 p.m. Come and spend some time
before our Lord in the Blessed Sacrament!
SODALITY
The Sodality meeting will feature a Covered Dish
Dinner on Tuesday, April 14th in the parish hall. The
main meat entrée and drinks will be provided. Side
dishes and desserts will be needed. The nomination
of officers will also be held at this meeting.
FIRST HOLY COMMUNION
There will be a practice for First Holy Communion
on Saturday, April 25th at 9:00 a.m. Please meet in
the hall at 8:45 a.m.
First Holy Communion will be celebrated on
Saturday, May 2nd at 10:00 a.m. The children are to
report to the hall by 9:30 a.m.
All necessary paperwork is due to the rectory as soon
as possible.
PARENTS’ NIGHT OUT
The next “Movie Night” for all children of Our Lady
of the Rosary parish and Holy Rosary Early Learning
Center will be held on Friday, April 17th in the parish
hall. Dinner (pizza) will be served at 6:00 p.m. and
the movie presentation at 7:00 p.m. The cost is $20
for dinner and a movie or $10 per child for just the
movie; $50 per family. Bring the children in their
pajamas with their sleeping bags and pillows to enjoy
the evening. Enjoy a night out while your children
are too. Friends are welcome. Children do not need
to be Holy Rosary students. All proceeds benefit the
Early Learning Center.
BIBLE STUDY
The Bible Timeline: The Story of Salvation is a
fascinating Bible Study that will take you on a journey
through the entire Bible. For more information,

CALLING ALL 7TH GRADERS
Bishop Shanahan High School will host a 7th grade
Visitation Day on Thursday, April 16th from 8:30 a.m.
to 1:30 p.m. and a Spring Open House on Thursday,
April 30th at 7:00 p.m. To register for the upcoming

BEEF & BYTES BENEFIT
Pope John Paul II Regional Catholic Elementary
School will host its first Beef & Bytes on Friday,
April 17th from 7:00 to 10:00 p.m. All proceeds will
go towards the second floor technology center.
Tickets are $25. There will be live music with the
Mission Street Band and a 50/50 raffle. For more

YOUNG ADULTS
All young adults in their 20’s and 30’s are invited to
join the “Catholic Young Adults of Chester County”
for weekly meetings focusing on social, spiritual and
community service. All are welcome to attend next
Wednesday, April 1st for the monthly Praise and
Worship Adoration. Holy Hour begins at 7:30 p.m. in
the lower chapel of St. Agnes Church in West Chester.

The Sodality of Our Lady of the Rosary is holding a
Mary’s Tea - a day of fellowship, song, prayer, lunch, and, of
course, tea!!
Women and girls are invited to enjoy this event. This year,
we are encouraging participants to wear spring or summer hats,
as well as, bringing their own tea cups.
Don’t procrastinate, only 120 tickets are available and
walk-ins cannot be accommodated. Tickets for women are $10
and girls ages 12 and under are $5.
Tickets will be sold at the Bake Sale on March 29th or can
be ordered from Debbie Gottshall at 484-639-3807 or
littlebrownbag@verizon.net. No tickets will be sold after April
19th.
