OH-PIGS GENERAL INFORMATION - Ohio Pork Producers Council

OH-PIGS GENERAL INFORMATION
ORGANIZATION
The Ohio Pork Council, through their Ohio Showpig Committee, has worked to develop and
provide junior swine exhibitors with a program designed to encourage leadership and personal development through competitive livestock shows.
OH-PIGS, The Ohio Summer Show Circuit, a youth program of the Ohio pork council, works
to provide the best atmosphere for competitive swine shows. It is, by purpose, a competitive program that promotes the advancement of Ohio’s showpig industry through providing consistency and continuity to a show circuit, tools to increase exhibitor knowledge and
education, and opportunities for personal development in youth swine exhibitors.
OH-PIGS focuses not only on providing opportunities to develop the basics of showing livestock but also the personal attributes of leadership, a strong work ethic, responsibility and
sportsmanship.
