Bookkeeper LOCATION: Headquarters, Highlands Ranch, CO STATUS: Part­Time, Non­Exempt ABOUT PAO:
Pro Athletes Outreach is a non-profit organization ministering to athletes, coaches, and their families
by offering faith-based conferences all around the United States, as well as on-line resources. Our Mission: Pro Athletes Outreach exists to unite a community of pro athletes and couples to grow
as disciples of Jesus and positively impact their spheres of influence. JOB DESCRIPTION: The part-time bookkeeper will generate financial ​
transactions​
and financial reports for Pro Athletes
Outreach. Duties will include posting information to accounting software from such source
documents as ​
invoices​
to ​
donations​
,​
cash​
receipts, and vendor invoices. The bookkeeper will also
reconcile ​
accounts​
to ensure their accuracy. She/He will have contact with management, employees,
board of directors and executive officers of PAO, and will exhibit a positive and professional attitude,
and will show support for PAO’s mission, events, and operations. The bookkeeper will be highly
organized and efficient and will show discretion and be sensitive to the human events and
confidentialities that arise within a faith setting. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES: ●

E​
nsure that receivables/donations are recorded promptly;
Record cash receipts and make bank deposits;
Review and record virtual donation transactions
Conduct a monthly reconciliation of every bank and investment account;
Issue statements to donation contributors;
Pay vendor invoices in a timely manner;
Conduct an annual 1099 vendor review and issue appropriate 1099’s;
Process and reconcile bi-weekly payroll in a timely manner
Make monthly retirement and Health Saving Plan payments/deposits
Maintain the ​
chart of accounts​
;
Conduct periodic reconciliations of all accounts to ensure their accuracy;
Maintain an orderly accounting filing system;
Maintain the annual budget;
Review, audit and pay expense reimbursements
Monthly reconciliation of employee company credit card charges
Create and maintain Profit & Loss (P&L) and Balance Sheet statements;
Calculate variances from the budget and report significant issues to management and
calculate and issue financial analysis of the financial statements;
Prepare and issue financial statements;

Maintain the ​
petty cash​
fund;
Assemble and prepare information for external auditors for annual ​
audit​

Prepare information for annual taxes
Comply with local, state, and federal government reporting requirements; and
Provide clerical and administrative support as requested.
JOB REQUIREMENTS: Desired Qualifications: The bookkeeper candidate should have an Associate's degree in
accounting or business administration, or equivalent business experience, as well as an
in-depth knowledge of f​
und accounting/non­profit accounting industry experience. ​
Preference
will be given to candidates with a working knowledge of QuickBooks accounting software and
