WELCOME PARENTS
Thank you for joining us for Junior Parents Weekend. Over the next two days, as you spend time on campus, you will
glimpse the transformative power of Harvard College that students experience every day. The opportunity to visit
classes and engage in discussions with faculty members will offer you a sense of where the intellectual transformation
begins. At the same time, sampling the wide array of activities outside the classroom through athletic competitions,
creative performances, and other events will expose you to some of the areas in which students have opportunities for
social transformation. Hopefully, your time on campus meeting other students and their families will open a window to
the rich diversity of experiences and perspectives that contribute to personal transformation for students. And finally,
by attending receptions and brunch in the residential houses, we invite you to experience Harvard’s unique house life
designed to support the integration of intellectual, social and personal transformation. We hope you have a chance to
take advantage of all of these opportunities and we wish you a memorable weekend.
