Our Lady of the Rosary Parish Kenmore Moggill Parish Mission 2015 Renewal of Mind & Heart Saturday April 25th to Wednesday April 29th Our Lady of the Rosary Parish Church Corner Moggill & Kenmore Roads Kenmore Mission Team The Mission Team are from the Thomas More Centre in the USA. The three members of the team are: Sister Joan Bukrey OSF Sister Joan was born and raised in St. Paul, Minnesota. She is a member of the Sisters of St. Francis of Assisi in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. She has a background in religious education and religious formation. She has been on the Mission Team since 1988. She is fond outdoor pursuits including, walking and observing wildlife, particularly birds. Fr. Michael Champlin OP Father Michael is from the United States and is a founding member of the Dominican Evangelical Team which became the mission team of the Thomas More Centre. He has degrees in philosophy and social psychology. He has forty years of experience on the mission team, working in America, Australia, the South Pacific and Africa. He is a keen student of wine and enjoys cooking and travel. Fr. Nicholas Punch OP Father Nick has worked in parishes, schools and universities. He was Provincial of the Australian New Zealand province of the Dominicans from 1981-1988. Father Nick has a special interest in scripture and moral theology. He has worked with the mission team full time since 1991. His hobbies include photography and classical music. The members of the Mission Team have wide international experience. In their preaching and presentations they draw on this experience and the riches of Scripture and Christian tradition and relate these to the needs of people living in contemporary society. Mission sessions include prayer. worship, preaching, input from the presenters and dialogue with participants. Fellowship and hospitality are an important part of the mission experience. Moggill + Refreshments 9.30am Team celebrate Mass at OLR, Kenmore + Refreshments 5.30pm Team Celebrate Mass at OLR, Kenmore + Refreshments 7.00 - 9.00pm First Presentation by Mission Team, including refreshments and Q/A time. Monday 27th April 9.15am Mass 10.00am - 12 noon Morning Session, including refreshments and Q/A time. 7.00 - 9.00pm Evening Session, including refreshments and Q/A time. Tuesday 28th April 9.15am Mass 10.00am - 12 noon Morning Session, including refreshments and Q/A time. 7.00 - 9.00pm Evening Session, including Family Reconciliation, followed by refreshments. Wednesday 29th April 9.15am Mass 10.00am - 12 noon Morning Session, including refreshments and Q/A time. 7.00 - 9.00pm Anointing Mass and CLOSE. For Information The following information items may be useful to participants in the Parish Mission The events of the Parish Mission are open to all. People are encouraged to participate in as many of the Parish Mission events as they can. There is no charge for Parish Mission events. There will be a collection taken up at the final session of the mission on Wednesday evening. The Mission Team Presentation and Dialogue sessions are aimed at adult participants 15 years old and over. Worship, including Mass and prayer during the Parish Mission is led by members of the Mission Team Parking is available in designated areas surrounding the Parish Church and in surrounding streets. Reconciliation Session has a family focus led by the mission Team. The parish provides hospitality in the break between segments of Mission Team Presentation and Dialogue Sessions. Materials from the Mission Team are available for cash sale during the Parish Mission.
