Keith Woodwell
Joining us this month is Keith Woodwell from the Utah Division of Securities. This state agency is responsible for
regulating the securities (investment) industry and enforcing Utah’s securities laws. Part of their mission is to
educate investors and consumers.
His topics for this presentation will be:
1. How to set financial goals and achieve them
2. How to recognize and avoid financial scams and fraud.
We will be going to the Jeremy Ranch Golf Club at 8770 Jeremy Rd for lunch after the April coffee. The food is
excellent and the setting is beautiful overlooking the Jeremy Ranch Golf Course. The club restaurant will do
separate checks for us, only credit cards are accepted (no cash or checks) and, as per Jeremy Ranch club policy,
fifteen percent is added to each check to cover gratuity.

Weather continues to be mild, so
any shotgunners are invited to go

Saturday morning after 10:00 am for
trap and/or 5 stand shooting. They
have ammunition available at better-than-Walmart
prices, rental guns are available, and if you’re new
to the sport, they have instruction available too. If
you don’t know how to get there, let Ken know and
we’ll work out a ‘convoy’ the first time. We also have
a “Long Guns, Long Shot” session in the planning
stages, and in addition we’re working up a classroom
session titled “What would YOU do” for people
interested in self-defense. “Never ever” shooter?
We’ll get you started. Questions? Contact Ken at

Comfort food
Supper Club is held once a month in a member’s home. It is a fabulous time to meet new friends. The Hostess
decides on a theme, cleans the house (or not), provides dishes, utensils, and non-alcoholic beverages, opens the
door, and the party begins! Please contact the Hostess for your food assignment. Once you have RSVP’ed, please
let the Hostess know immediately if your plans change and you are no longer able to attend so they can insure a
balanced menu. Please bring your own beverage (BYOB) along with your dish.
Please keep in mind the following Supper Club etiquette and rules:
• Bring your assigned dish. If you cannot bring that dish, advise the Hostess as soon as possible for a new food
assignment.
• Bring a dish that serves 10 to 12 people.
• If you RSVP and then cannot attend, notify the Hostess at least 48 hours before the event.
• If you need to cancel the day of the event, contact the Hostess and let her know. If you can, make
arrangements to have your dish delivered to the Hostess.
• Be respectful of the home of the Hostess. If you spill or damage something, tell the Hostess immediately.
• BYOB – this means that you bring your own beverage and do not expect to “share” other people’s beverages.
