Alcoa Recycling Roundup Ultimate Upcycle up·cy·cle (verb): to reuse discarded objects or material in such a way as to create a product of a higher quality or value than the original. This year, make a difference in your community by exploring a fun and creative way to recycle. 1. Collect your recyclable materials (aluminum cans, cardboard, paper, plastic, etc.). 2. On the back of this form, sketch your design for something new that you can “upcycle” from your materials. It can be a work of art, a musical instrument, a crazy new invention, or whatever you can imagine. 3. Build your new object. Use glue, tape, paint, or whatever you need to make it real! 4. Submit your drawing with a photo of your Ultimate Upcycle creation by August 31 to qualify for judging. Bring your creation to Kids Fest on September 19th from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. where it will be displayed and the contest winners will be announced. Send this completed entry form and your photo to: WNIN Events 405 Carpenter St. Evansville, IN 47708 or events@wnin.org All entries must be received by August 31. Only children ages 5-12 may compete. Entries may be submitted via email, snail mail or physical drop-off. Sketch your Ultimate Upcycle creation! Your name: Parent’s Email Address: Mailing Address: Parent Signature: Phone: Age:
