Low Profile BONDABLE BUCCAL TUBES Sleek, modern and stylish, Phoenix Orthodontics premier line of MIM (metal injection molded) buccal tubes incorporate the latest design technology with a growing industry demand for comfortable, easy-to-use appliances that simplify treatment and reduce valuable chair time. Maximum Rotational Control At a full 4.2mm, OPTIMAL tubes allow for greater rotational control than smaller buccal tubes. OPTIMAL low profile buccal tubes Unique Direct Bond Pad Design OPTIMAL features a compound radius on the pad that mirrors the unique contour of a molar’s clinical crown. A uniquely crafted distal gingival cutout enables bonding of partially erupted molars without sacrificing the size and strength of the pad. Distal Notch In order to meet the need for ample anchorage, OPTIMAL features a distal notch for ligation and tie-back of auxiliaries. Fully Funneled Entrance and Malleable Hook Two of the most appealing features of OPTIMAL is it’s trumpeted entrance to facilitate easy wire insertion and a new streamlined, malleable ball hook. Choose from extended indent pad or small indent pad. 80 Gauge Foil Mesh OPTIMAL bondable buccal tubes feature 80 gauge foil mesh direct bond pads for increased bond strength. All pre-weld orders are welded in the standard position unless requested otherwise. Standard Weld The drawings below provide an overview of the various standard positions and illustrate the attachment welded at 0 degree angulation to the band. The bracket slot will be parallel to the occlusal edge of the band. Mesial/Distal Positioning Custom Weld Mesial Upper Lower 2mm of forward (mesial) placement of the buccal tube on the band will add approximately 10 degrees of distal offset. Standard Upper Custom assemblies are any of Phoenix tubes and bands that are not pre-welded in the standard position. Using the chart below, choose the appropriate pre-weld position. Height Placement (2 indicates standard) Lower 1 indicates 50% gingival from standard The standard welding position is designed to deliver the distal offset manufactured in the buccal tube. Distal Upper Lower 3 indicates 50% occlusal from standard 3 2 1 2mm of backward (distal) placement of the buccal tube on the band will subtract approximately 10 degrees of distal offset. 1 2 3 Upper Lower 40 Toll free: 800.642.3009 - 816.228.6594 - fax: 816.228.4872 - www.phoenixorthodontics.com - email: sales@phoenixorthodontics.com
