Correlation - Lateral length and EUR in the Haynesville
Analysis
How to get there
1
Comstock Resources recently
announced plans to increase
drilling activity on its Haynesville
shale natural gas properties where
it believes improved completion
technology, including longer
laterals, will provide strong returns
at current natural gas prices.
Currently, Comstock's longest
horizontal well in the play was
drilled with a lateral length of 5,420
feet but offset operators like
ExxonMobil, Encana, and
Anadarko have all drilled lateral
sections longer than 7,000 feet
with a positive response in EUR.
