HOMESTEAD-SWIM CAMP
Looking to explore the world of competitive swimming ?? Then this camp is for you !!
LOCATION – Southwest Natatorium at Summit Middle School
COST - $40 per child (Sessions will be filled on a first-come-first-served basis)
DATES – 13th 14th 15th 16th and 17th April 2015
Session time – 5.15PM - 6.00PM
The camp is designed for students in Grades K-8 who have some swimming experience. Campers will
be introduced to the four competitive strokes: freestyle, backstroke, breaststroke and butterfly.
Goggles and swim caps are strongly recommended, and parents are encouraged to stay for each
class. Swimmers should arrive at the pool 10 minutes before the start of class. There will be a brief
parent meeting on the 14th April in the Summit Cafeteria, regarding the camp, and if positions are
available after the camp, you will be given an opportunity to join the area's best swim team, SWAC.
IMPORTANT NOTE: These are not beginner swim lessons. The student must have swimming skills prior to this camp and be comfortable in
deep water. THIS ACTIVITY IS NOT ASSOCIATED, AFFILIATED OR SUPERVISED BY SACS.
Camp Staff: The camp will be supervised by Bobby Mattin, Head Coach of Homestead High School
and the SWAC swim team, along with Theresa Thrasher, SWAC's Head Developmental Coach.
Elite Homestead High school Seniors will also be involved with the Camp.
