MEET RCIA CANDIDATE ARIADNA SOTO 18 year old high school senior, Ariadna Soto will receive
her First Holy Communion and Confirmation at the Easter Vigil
Mass. Ariadna has been attending RCIA classes on Sunday
morning in preparation of this most blessed day! She moved to
Shelby from Greenville with her parents and two siblings and
works in her family’s two restaurants, El Acapulco in Shelby and
Boiling Springs. School work is important to Ariadna. The best
part of her school day is Art class, especially when she is able to
paint. Please remember Ariadna in your prayers over the
coming weeks as she joins her Catholic family in the Holy
Sacrifice of the Mass and receives all the gifts of the Holy Spirit.
MEET RCIA CANDIDATE TRIPP SPANGLER Tripp Spangler and his family reside in Shelby. He and his
wife, Angela, have 3 children; Patricia, 9 years, Jonathan, 7,
Ethan, 3, and happily, they have a new baby on the way! At this
time, Tripp is working part time at the YMCA as he discerns a
new career path. His previous work as a Protestant minister is no
longer an option for him. Tripp explained that he will most likely
return to school to study law which has been of great interest to
him. In his search of a closer relationship with Our Lord, Jesus,
Tripp discovered the treasure of the Catholic faith. He has
attended daily Mass frequently and looks forward to Professing
his Faith at the Easter Vigil Mass. Let us pray for Tripp.
