Jesus, I trust in You
The Divine Mercy Chaplet is a relatively recent but very popular
devotion revealed by Our Lord to St. Maria Faustina Kowalska, a
Polish nun. On Good Friday 1937, Christ appeared to Saint
Faustina and asked her to recite this chaplet for nine days, starting
on Good Friday and ending on the Octave of Easter (the Sunday
after Easter Sunday), now known as Divine Mercy Sunday.
The chaplet is most often recited during those nine days, but it can
be prayed at any time of the year, and Saint Maria Faustina recited
it almost unceasingly. A standard rosary can be used to recite the
chaplet.

Week #10 - Joan of Arc
Very few people know that Mark
Twain (Samuel Clemens) wrote a
major work on Joan of Arc. Still fewer
know that he considered it not only his
most important but also his best work.
He spent twelve years in research and
many months in France doing archival
work and then made several attempts until he felt he
finally had the story he wanted to tell. He reached his
conclusion about Joan’s unique place in history only
after studying in detail accounts written on both sides,
the French and the English. A remarkably accurate
biography of the life and mission of Joan of Arc told
by one of this country’s greatest storytellers.
Parishioner Comments
This is a wonderful book. I am happy to see it alive
and well, and, hopefully, influencing a whole new
generation!

A Note from Sandy Dunn
It’s that time of year again – VACATION BIBLE SCHOOL! Imagine what
it was like to live and work in the dusty town of Nazareth, just as Jesus was
beginning His ministry around Galilee. You’d hear whispering about Mary’s
son, Jesus – the local carpenter’s kid who says he’s the Son of God. Maybe the
boy Jesus even had dinner at your house or played tag with your kids. As you
tend your sheep or bake your bread, perhaps you secretly wonder if it’s really possible that Jesus –
the boy down the street – could be the Messiah.
Which of the tribes of Israel will you be part of – Zebulun, Asher,
Joseph, Judah or even Levi?
You’ll hear straight from Mary all about her son and the incredible
things that happened to her with Jesus.
Dates to remember

Registration after all Masses on May 9 & 10
