CIRCLE OF PRAYER
Next Monday 11th May children from St. Michael’s House celebrate
the sacraments of Communion and Confirmation.
Next Saturday 16th the children from Holy Trinity National School
and St. Patrick’s National School celebrate their Holy Communion.
The children and their families appreciate that they are part of a
parish “circle of prayer” leading up to the sacrament of
First Eucharist.

Beginning Experience is a support group for those coping with
the pain of loss of their life partner, through death, separation
or divorce. This is a healing ministry, which helps to resolve
the grief that goes with the end of a marriage or

Ecumenical Bible Week 2015 24th-31st May. Looking at the
Bible from different perspectives: film, music, ethics, law and
so forth, as well as more obvious approaches such as prayer
(lectio divina) or organising a Bible Study group.
This year, the overall topic is “What is the Spirit saying to the

SCRIPTURE REFLECTION
"Lord, pour out your Spirit of wisdom on all students doing exams
at this time". Mass will be offered for all the students of our Parish
who are doing exams. Students are invited to come to this Mass to
pray together and to pray for each other.

Diocesan : First Collection : €1,759 Goes to the Diocese for
distribution towards the livelihood of all its Priests including
those sick or retired.
Second Collection : €1,240
Annual collection in support of the seminarians of the
Diocese who are studying for priesthood. This collection
replaces the usual Share Collection.

SANDYFORD PARISH PILGRIMAGE TO KNOCK
Everyone is most welcome to join the Annual Pilgrimage on
Saturday 30th May. The cost for the day is €35 which includes a
four course lunch in the Convent and the coach fare; a special
price of €20 for the day is available for under 18’s and this also
includes the coach fare and four course lunch. The Coach will
depart St. Mary’s Church, Sandyford at 7.30am sharp and will
depart Knock at 7.00pm. There will be a short coffee break on the
journey to Knock and on the return journey. Lunch will at
1.00pm. A spiritual programme will be available.
Booking with payment can be made at the Parish Office, St.
Mary’s before May 23rd.
