THE LITTLE VINTAGE SHOW 9TH/10TH MAY 2015
Dear Villagers....Just to keep you all up to date, this year’s show will follow a similar theme to last year’s show. We feel the need to
do more to attract families, and to give the younger family members an area for them to have fun, therefore we would like to invite
you to advise us on the sort of things we could add to the show that would help us attract more family members. We are also open to
charity suggestions within our local area, it could be a children's charity, or a family looking to raise funds to help fund an expensive
piece of medical equipment, or an operation that can only be performed abroad. We look forward to hearing from you with any
suggestions, or offers of help. Please call us on 890920.............John & Mandy

SLIMBRIDGE DOWSING GROUP....We began the
year with a talk on water divining by our Chairman,
Peter Golding. As always, we write up our talks and
send them to the Gazette and the Stroud News &
Journal (SNJ). Both are very good to us, and usually
print our pieces. After the one about Peter’s talk
appeared in the SNJ, we had several phone calls
from folks in the Stroud area, keen to find out more
and asking if we run Courses. Peter has run
Courses in the past, and will no doubt do so again,
but in the meantime we offer regular talks on a
variety of subjects relevant to dowsing. People are
often surprised to discover that dowsing can be
used for all sorts of things other than water divining.
It’s handy for finding archaeological ruins, dating
things, ley lines, earth energies, finding the car
keys, and even the source of pain in the human
body. Why not come along and find out more? We
meet on the second Thursday afternoon and the
fourth Saturday morning of the month in Slimbridge
Village Hall. And we are now using the larger of the
two halls, because it is warmer, lighter, and dowsing
has revealed that there is better energy in there!

SLIMBRIDGE PARISH WI...........Good to see some of you as our guests in January for our fun cheerleading class, which
hopefully shifted a couple of Christmas pounds!! COME AND JOIN US on FEBRUARY 11TH when we're really lucky to have
CLIVE DALE, the popular children's author, coming to talk to us about how he got into writing, how he puts a book together
and also a couple of fun short stories. If the little ones are allowed a later night, do bring them along! The books appeal to
primary age, although I'm told adults enjoy then too! March sees Sarah Davis giving us a masterclass on stained glass, with
us all joining in making a piece to take home. We meet on the second Wednesday of each month at the Village Hall at
7.45pm for wine and gossip, speakers etc at 8pm. Let us know if you're coming by calling Penny 763936 or Carole 890268."
