Social Enterprise Greenhouse(SEG) is the lead curator of the SEEED Summit. SEG creates positive
social and economic impacts by supporting social entrepreneurs and enterprises with the tools
and networks they need to thrive. We are a network of business and community leaders who
contribute time, expertise and money to create jobs and support positive change through social
enterprise.
SEEED at Brown creates connections for students to help them realize their passion, gain the skills
and resources they need, and achieve appropriate and meaningful social impact.
The Social Innovation Initiative, housed within the Swearer Center for Public Service, has served as
a hub for social impact and innovation at Brown, supporting the work of student leaders through

strong community partnerships and personalized advising. SII provides opportunities for students
to pursue their passions through cross-disciplinary courses, student-led initiatives, support for new
ventures, and connections to jobs, internships, and other opportunities to apply learning.
