Canada’s Select Warmblood & Sport Horse Sale will be a unique marketplace where buyers can come to view and evaluate up to 60 selected horses, all at one venue. This is not an auction; rather, buyers and sellers will be free to negotiate sales on their own private terms. All horses will be a minimum of 3 years of age, going under saddle, and registered with a recognized warmblood or sport horse registry. The sale will be held from July 17-‐19, 2015 at the Orangeville Agricultural Society (OAS) Event Centre. Horses will be demonstrated, test ridden and schooled over hunter, jumper and dressage courses. A veterinarian will be on site to do immediate x-‐rays and pre-‐purchase exams. It doesn’t get more convenient to buy or sell a horse than this! Preference will be given to horses of modern type standing approximately 15.2 to 17 hh, at least 3 years of age, already going under saddle, and showing suitability for eventing, dressage or hunter/jumper. RULES 1. Horse must be CWHBA or CSHA registered, or entered as breeding stock, or be registered in a recognized Warmblood or TB stud book. Preference will be given to horses going under saddle and 3 years of age or older. 2. All horses must pass a pre-‐qualification inspection for quality. 3. Horses must have certificate of health completed by a licensed veterinarian no earlier than 2 weeks prior to the sale, along with a negative Coggins test. 4. Horses must trot up sound on day of arrival. 5. All consignors and demonstration riders must be provincial equestrian federation members or have proof of liability insurance and sign waivers. 6. Maximum 60 horses to be consigned to sale. 7. Consignment fee is non-‐refundable once the horse has been uploaded to the web site 8. Consignors must provide a colour photograph of the consigned horse in digital format in high resolution, and photocopy of registration papers. 9. Trailers and RVs can be kept on site. Make arrangements with sale in advance. 10.No alcohol on site except at camp sites – sorry. 11. Horses can be sold at any time during sale but can only be removed after 5pm or before 9am each day. Pre-‐inspected replacements – $400 charge. SELECTION CRITERION Criterion: Horse to be approximately 15.2 to 17 hh and at least 3 years of age. Modern type, suitable to become hunter/jumper, dressage or event performance horse. Going under saddle, jumping with rider (as applicable to discipline, see notes). If the horse is not yet going over fences under saddle, then the horse should be prepared to free jump. Notes: Evaluation scores depend on the discipline for which the horse is bred. Dressage horses do not have to jump; event horses will have to gallop; hunter/jumpers will jump a gymnastic or suitable small course depending on what they are ready for. Rideability will be very important in the evaluation. ENTRY REQUIREMENTS 1.
