Engaged Reading: How to Optimise the Reading Experience with your Child

Engaged Reading: How to Optimise the Reading Experience with your
Child
Workshop Synopsis
Reading well-written pieces of writing is an invaluable way for children to
improve their command of English language. Essentially, children are exposed to
logical thinking and flow, as well as well-crafted phrases and sentences. Learn to
read with your children (primary school level) in an engaged way, which will
enhance their understanding of the text, awareness of the writing style, and the
pleasure in the reading process.
Aims
•Through this highly interactive workshop, parents and educators (of primary
school going children) will learn about the wide range of strategies, supportive
tools, and spin-off activities that they can do with the learners in their lives.
•Participants will also be working in small groups with books to figure out the
different ways that they can create an engaged reading experience with their
children.
