1. Create URIs
After receiving the DIDs from Voxbone you need to route them to the appropriate SIP
destination. This is achieved by mapping the DIDs to a URI. The definition of a URI can be
found in our technical FAQ at http://voxbone.com/faq-technical.jsf
STEP 1:
Log into your account on www.voxbone.com
STEP 2:
Go to the menu Configure > URIs > All URIs
STEP 3:
- Choose the SIP protocol for your voice traffic
- Enter a valid URI
- Enter a description for your URI and click on create

The URI in the above example is of the following format “1004@213.246.216.86”. 1004 is the
extension of the user in your system and 213.246.216.68 is the IP address of your SIP server.
You are free to use the {E164} variable which will then be replaced by the E.164
representation of each DID. This allows you to easily define just one URI for many different
numbers. It can be used alone or in combination with additional characters:
e.g.: {E164}@213.246.216.68
or: 00{E164}@213.246.216.68
URI parameters can be changed or removed easily by using the respective buttons on the right
hand side and there is no limitation for the amount URIs that can be created for your account.

2. Map numbers to a URI
STEP 1:
Go to the menu Configure > Numbers and click on the URI tab below the
“Define Search criteria” field
STEP 2:
You will see a list of all your numbers and a drop down menu for each one of them
where you can select one of the previously created URIs.
Once you click on apply a message appears on the top of the page to confirm that the URI
column is updated.
The field Define Search Criteria helps you to narrow down the list of numbers in order to
apply URI changes to multiple numbers at the same time by using the button Apply to all.
N.B.:Be careful when using this option as it might change the URI configuration for all your
numbers at once.

3. Map numbers to channels
In order to receive calls on your numbers they need to be mapped to a set of channels from
the appropriate zone. (see online Price List)
STEP 1:

“Define Search criteria” field
STEP 2:

where you can select one of the available trunks of channels.
Once you click on apply, a message appears on the top of the page to confirm that the
channels are allocated to the designated numbers.
Analogously to the URI configuration you can also use the “Define Search Criteria” Field in
order to allocate channels in bulk to a certain subset of your DIDs.

To limit the maximum amount of concurrent calls, you have to disable the
default configuration of use maximum and enter the desired amount in the field.
