This document now supersedes the P_507 ‘site wide colour stategy’ Rev B dated 7th December 2012 submitted to discharge condition 6. Pleae refer to the RAL colour references for each item. The apearance of the colours in the photograph varies considerably due to differing lighting conditions at the time of the photograph. Building 3. 3.1 Brickwork Plinth: Wienerberger Telford Blue Brindle, to match existing Leathley Road Elevation. Recessed pointing and natural mortar to match existing details. The left hand image above shows the sample panel as erected on site, and the right hand image shows a hand sample set against the existing Leathley Road elevation brickwork. 3.2 External Insulated Acrylic Render to the NE, SE & SW Facades: Sto 37201 (Mid lead grey colour) 3.3 Curtain Walling: Fully glazed Technal MX system. RAL 7021 (Grey/Black) frame and caps. The left hand image shows the proposed colour set against the window colour of the Printing Halls. The right hand image shows the proposed glazing to be used in both the curtain walling and the windows. 3.4 Window Frames: Technal FXi windows in RAL 7021 (Grey/Black) frames. The left hand image is the correct Technal FXi profile, the right hand image shows the actual colour. 3.5 Door Frames: Technal CD Glazed doors in RAL 7021 (Grey/Black) frames. Louvred doors in RAL 7021 (Grey/Black) as per the right hand image. 3.6 Coping: To existing blue brick plant enclosure and to main rendered facades. Folded aluminium profile in RAL 9006 (Metallic Silver) by Sarnafil Edge protection handrails, roof access ladders: PPC steel in RAL 7012 (Dark Grey) 3.7 Roof: Sarnafil single ply membrane in Light Grey to all areas of flat roof. 3.8 Solar shading: ‘Solinear solex linear’aluminium horizontal solar shading panels in RAL 7021 (Grey/ Black) Building 4. 4.1 Brickwork to Courtyard elevation: Wienerberger Telford Blue Brindle, as building 3 4.2 Cladding: Euroclad Vieo standing seam cladding to the projecting windows and extension gable end in RAL 9007 (metallic silver grey) 4.3 External Insulated Render: to the goods area (SW) facade and above and below new windows to the Leathley Road (SE) facade: Sto 37201 (Mid lead grey colour) 4.4 Windows: New window frames to be Technal FXi as per left hand image but finished in RAL 9007 (Metallic silver grey) with contrasting opening light sections to be RAL 7021 (Grey / Black) 4.4 Curtain walling: Fully glazed Technal MX system. RAL 7021 (Grey / Black) to courtyard (NW) entrance to buildings 3 / 4. Individual, localised sections of curtain walling within the metal standing seam clad projecting windows to the courtyard elevation to be RAL 9007 (Metallic silver grey - LH image) and to include matching ceramic spandrel panels to conceal floor slab edges. 4.5 Door, Roller shutters and Louvres: Door frames to be RAL 7021 (Grey / Black) and entrance doors to be fully glazed. Refuse Store and Plant rooms to be fully Louvred as per the right hand image. 4.6 Coping: The existing blue brick facade to Leathley Road is to have a folded aluminum coping in RAL 9006 (metallic silver - LH image) where this is visible from outside of the site and adjacent to Building 3. The coping to the courtyard (NW) facade is to have the same detail but in RAL 9007 (metallic silver grey right hand image) where this matches the metal standing seam vieo cladding that runs along at high level under the coping and vertically to each of the four projecting windows. 4.7 Roof pods and Exposed plant equipment: Exposed steel frame painted in RAL 7021 and overclad in 35mm thick grating with approximately 80mm x 40mm openings PPC in RAL 9006 (Metallic Silver) and with PV panels to the south-facing elevation. 4.8 Roof Level Plant Screen: Louvre effect cladding panel in RAL 9006 (Metallic Silver ) with exposed steel frame painted in RAL 7021. Edge protection handrails, roof access ladders: PPC steel in RAL 7012 (Dark Grey) 4.9 High level wall cladding: (Predominantly unseen) Euroclad 32/1000 profile metal cladding to the external wall within the plant screened area. Finished in RAL 9006 (Metallic Silver) 4.10 Roof: Sarnafil single ply membrane in Light Grey to all flat roof areas over Building 4 and Building 4 extension. Building 5. 5.1 Brickwork plinth: Wienerberger Telford Blue Brindle, as per Buildings 3 and 4 5.2 Curtain Walling: Fully glazed Technal MX system in RAL 7021 (Grey / Black) to the gable end elevation. 5.5 Building 5 Main cladding panels: Flat and smooth Kingspan Optimo composite panel in RAL 9006 (Metallic Silver) 5.5 Building 5 Intermediate cladding panels: Pressed metal panel in RAL 7021 (Grey / Black) 5.6 Windows and doors: System as per buildings 3 and 4. Frames to be RAL 7016 (Dark Grey) This is one tone lighter than the adjacent intermediate cladding panels. 5.7 Building 5 solar shading fins: Bespoke PPC aluminum frame with PPC aluminium mesh panel flashed into frame. Colour to be RAL 7021 (Grey/Black) with RAL 7006 aluminium trim around the mesh. 5.8 Building 5 Roof: Euroclad 32/1000 profile metal cladding in RAL 9006 (Metallic Silver).
