grocery stores sell roses and bouquets at a very reasonable price.

holders as possible. Place them everywhere and instead of using your normal
lighting, light them every night. You'll be surprised at the result!!
•
Tie red ribbons on all your plants!
•
Place red candles of all shapes and sizes everywhere.

Balloons are a great way to say "I love you." Buy a bunch and put them all

The Romance Of Candlelight
When you think of creating a romantic mood or effect, what's the
first thing that comes to mind? Besides a great partner to be
amorous with, candles are usually at the top of the list. What is it
about this item that makes it so irrefutably synonymous with
romance? It could be its classic elegance, the delightful
playfulness of firelight twinkling in a room, or maybe it's the way
a person's skin seems to take on an almost angelic glow when in
this lustrous light.
No matter what the reason, candles and the light they cast will
always remain an essential ingredient for romance. In fact, it is not just a romantic
additive, but also a way to mark special occasions and celebrations. Candles are
used to celebrate birthdays, weddings and many other special life events so their
inclusion in a couple's romantic life is a seemingly natural step.
However you go about using this mood setter, one fact remains, the possibilities of
this magical influence are truly endless. If you've felt your romantic creativeness
waning, then make it a priority to spend some time in the aura of candlelight. Some
candlelight interlude ideas include: sharing a drink together, relaxing over romantic
music, giving a massage, sharing a meal, or having an intimate talk.
For everyday romance you might try placing candles on the dining table, in the
bathroom or on a night stand next to your bed. If either you or your partner has had
a stressful day, use aromatic candles known for their calming or aphrodisiac
qualities. Also, play with the colors, height, texture, style and grouping of your
candles. Each change creates a different effect. Find the one you like the best.
Special romantic evenings or other events are definitely heightened with the addition
of candles, especially in large quantities. For your next interlude, try filling the entire
room with candlelight by using a variety of different shaped, sized and colored
candles. You could also create a heart or the words "I love you" with the candles.
Tea lights also work well for these purposes.
You may also try giving a special, sentimental candle each month to your love. Every
month hunt down a candle, either through the Internet or in local stores, gift wrap it
and leave it in a special place for your love to find. Let them know the candle is to be
lit only during special romantic times with each other. Make it a point to find time to
light the candle at least once a week.
The idea is to encourage and invite romance through this time-honored romantic
symbol. Make it a point to indulge and bask in the glow of candlelight at least once a
week, even if it's solo time spent in the bath or over a good book. Your life will be
just that bit more romantic for it!
Valentine's Day Theme Ideas
Honeymoon Valentine
Give your love the honeymoon you have both always
wanted! Arrange to stay at a hotel in an exotic
location, or recreate it in your own bedroom! Gift ideas
include: a ticket to a romantic destination, marriage
proposal, an item from country you're recreating, or a
gift basket with food or snacks from the same country.
His And Hers Valentine
Start the occasion by wearing your "his and hers
pajamas" (one wears the top, the other wears the
bottoms). Then watch his movie, followed by hers.
Grab some take out from his favorite place and hers.
Decide to get his and her gifts as well. Gift ideas
include: his and hers towels, his and hers watches,
champagne and glasses, his and hers pajamas, etc.
Pamper Me Valentine
Pamper your Valentine with the ultimate in romance! The ideal setting for this idea is
an ultra-clean bathroom and bedroom with a TV and VCR. If you don't feel like
cleaning, or have time to create the ambiance, splurge and book a hotel for the
night. Start by lighting as many tea light candles in your bathroom as possible. Also,
burn some incense and have some background mood music playing. If you don't
have a place to rest things in your bathroom, bring in a chair. On it, place a fluffy
washcloth, a plate of chocolates and strawberries, and a glass of champagne. (Make
sure it's within the reach of your sweetheart.) Then get a warm bubble bath ready.
Once your partner is in the bath, give them a foot massage while you wash their feet
to relax them. Next, wash and condition their hair. When they are ready to get out,
dry them off, give them something comfy to wear and send them off to the bedroom.
Once there, brush out your partner's hair and give them a shoulder massage. After
that, cuddle up on the bed and watch a romantic movie you've picked out. Gift ideas
include: bath robe, sexy pajamas, bubble bath, trip to a day spa or a gift certificate
for a professional massage.
Romantic Movie Night Valentine
Rent all of your favorite romantic movies. Set up an airbed on your living room floor
with a comforter and pillows. Stock up on your favorite munchies and cuddle
together during your love-a-thon. Gift ideas include: tickets to the movies, a video
rental gift certificate, romantic videos, a soundtrack from a favorite movie, a video of
you, a gift basket of munchies, or your love story written in screenplay format.
Famous Couples Valentine
Choose a famous couple, like Antony and Cleopatra, and create a romantic encounter
as they would have celebrated. You'll need to get costumes, food, decorations,
theme music and something for entertainment. Gift ideas include: a famous couples
love story book, a love diary or journal, memory book, or tickets to the place the
couple reside(d).
A Gourmet's Valentine
Whether you or your partner is the gourmet, you'll both enjoy this idea! Plan and
create a 5-course love meal followed by an evening of wine and relaxation, or a
romantic movie. If you're not great at cooking, but love good food, find a 5-star
restaurant nearby and order the food to go. Gift ideas include: gift certificate to a 5star restaurant, subscription to Gourmet or Bon Appettit magazines, or a gift basket
of delectable treats.
Pamper Me II Valentine
Take a few classes or read up on the art of Tantric massage. Start the occasion with
an hour-long massage, followed by a round of romantic games. Gift ideas include:
Kama Sutra gift set, massage oils, gift certificate for a professional massage or a
romantic board game.
An Artisan's Valentine
Get a set of body paints, or create your own using products around the house such
as chocolate syrup, cherry filling, etc. Lay out a large sheet, one that is okay to get
stained, on the floor. Spend the evening painting each other! Follow up with a
steamy shower to rinse each other off. Gift ideas include: chocolate syrup and a
paintbrush (for next time!), more body paints, a sensual poetry book, love coupons
good for a sensual act, or a couple's board game.
Room-By-Room Valentine
Take advantage of the space you have! Create a meal to be eaten in each room, or
create a romantic activity to happen in each room. Even better -- do both! Choose
gifts that coordinate with each room.

Chocolate Covered Strawberries
Ingredients:
5 ounces bittersweet chocolate, chopped
1 pint fresh strawberries with leaves
Preparations:
In a microwave safe bowl, or in the top of a double boiler over simmering water,
cook chocolate until melted. Stir occasionally until chocolate is smooth. Holding
berries by the stem, dip each in chocolate about three-quarters of the way to the
stem. Place, stem side down, on wire rack and chill in refrigerator until hardened.
Creative Ways To Give Chocolate
There is something about sweets and Valentine's
Day that go hand in hand. But with a traditional
gift, such as chocolates, it's easy to be considered
out-dated and uninventive. So this year, use one of
the creative ideas below to give a standard
romantic favorite a new feel!
1. Make a candy love letter.
Write a love letter out of candy bar titles. Get a
piece of brightly colored poster board and a bunch
of your favorite candy bars. Write your love letter
on the board in a contrasting colored pen. Replace
key words with candy bars taped onto the poster board.
2. Chocolate bouquet.
Get your love's favorite chocolates and some thick wood skewers. You'll also need a
box or basket and a piece of Styrofoam cut to fit inside. Cut the skewers in half with
a small saw and lightly sand down the blunt ends. Stick a chocolate on the top of
each blunt end. Then stick the pointed end into the Styrofoam piece. Cover the
Styrofoam with moss or ribbon.
3. Never-ending chocolate box.
Get a set of boxes that fit inside of each other. The more you can get to fit inside of
each other the better. Buy your love's favorite chocolates or sweets and some tissue
paper. Line each box with tissue paper and place one chocolate or sweet inside of it.
Then cover it with another piece of tissue paper. Keep doing this until you've filled all
your boxes. If you have more chocolates than boxes, start with one chocolate in the
first and more in each box following.
4. Trail of chocolates.
Get quite a few bags of chocolates, some tissue paper and curling ribbon. Layer two
pieces of tissue paper and place one handful of candy in the middle of it. Pull up the
sides and tie a piece of curling ribbon around it. Repeat this until all the candy
except for one bag is left. Put your bags of candy in a strategic location with a love
letter in front of them. Then make a trail from wherever your love will be to the
candy pile. This is a great "wake-up" surprise!
5. Chocolate roses.
Combine the classic favorites together and give your love a bouquet of chocolate
roses. Attach a note saying, "I decided to give you these chocolate roses instead of
real ones because our love is something that should be sweet and savored."
Oysters Valentino Dinner For Two
The Setting
This advanced setting takes place in the bedroom, right on top of your king or queen
size bid. Don't worry about breadcrumbs. They won't be on the menu!
Ingredients:
24 blue point oysters, raw in shells
1 large red bell pepper
1 lemon
6 small Jalapeño peppers
1 cup olive oil
1/8 cup lime juice
1 cup chopped parsley
1 cup bread crumbs
1 cup grated Romano cheese
1 package of favorite crackers or Melba toast
Rock salt
Recommendations:
1 bottle of Pouilly-Fuissé, chilled
What is Pouilly-Fuissé?
Pouilly-Fuissé is a white wine made from Chardonnay in a group of towns just to the north of the Beaujolais region
in the far south of Burgundy.
Preparations:
What we said about crumbs in bed…well we lied, but who cares. It's worth it! First,
scrub and wash the oysters thoroughly. Using a towel and an oyster knife you can
pry open oysters readily. Remove top lid and discard. Loosen attached membrane of
oyster. Line baking tray with rock salt and place oysters on top. Wash red bell
pepper and Jalapeño peppers. Wipe dry and rub with a little olive oil. Place them on
a cookie sheet. Increase oven to broil and place tray under the broiler. Broil peppers
on all sides. When skin breaks, remove and let cool. Reduce oven temperature to
450 degrees. Peel bell peppers and Jalapeño peppers; remove inside and dice finely.
NOTE: seeds from the Jalapeño pepper are very hot so do not use your fingers to
remove the seeds as the effect of them will remain on your fingers. Use a knife or a
paper towel. Mix olive oil, lime juice, chopped parsley, peppers, breadcrumbs and
grated Romano cheese together. Spread equally on top of each oyster. Bake for
eight to ten minutes or until light brown and serve.
Creating the Mood
A Love Bite in your bedroom can be very romantic and the advantage is you are right
in the Love Nest. How convenient can it be? We only suggest this bedroom scenario
IF the couple involved agree a lovemaking session may be involved. Perhaps we
should also mention that not all love bite romances end up in love making at first. It
may take a couple Love Bites for someone new to respond and agree to the idea. If
either party is uncertain then it may be better to try the patio or living room for the
setting. Caution is advised though because the ingredients in this menu act like an
aphrodisiac. Oysters have their own special way of communicating.

A Bed Of Roses
My wife and I were having a hard time once...it was very bad. So, one day at work I
was thinking of a way to make up with her. After work I ran out and got several red
roses. I came home and wrote a poem riddle to direct her as to what to do. We had
music to dance to, and I whispered many things in her ear. The last song we danced
to was "Bed of Roses." After that I picked her up in my arms, and carried her to her
big treat. I gently laid my beautiful wife in that bed of roses...and you let your
imagination tell you the rest. -submitted by Anonymous
A Customized Valentine's Day
The Monday of Valentine's Day week I will hide little cinnamon hearts around the
house. I'll give him a decorated jar and he will have to find and collect the hearts
throughout the week. The day before Valentine's Day I'll give him a sort of menu of
options for Valentines Day. He can trade candy hearts in for different items on the
menu (i.e. massage = 10 hearts, homemade dinner for 2 = 2 hearts, etc..) I think
it'll be fun and it will ensure that he gets the Valentine's Day he wants rather than
one I think he wants! -submitted by Jodi
A Family Valentine
It seems that every time we turn around someone is getting divorced, so this year
we decided that on Valentines Day we would make it an "all love day." I am a stayat-home mom, and my husband is taking the day off from work and we are spending
the entire day with our 5 children. We are going to children’s school parties, make
our usual heart-shaped individual pan pizzas, and then decorate little individual
heart-shaped cakes for dessert. We then will play games and watch movies together
until bedtime for the kids. Then we will have time for each other. We will exchange
gifts and have the rest of the night for us - a couple, not parents for a little while. It
may sound corny but with the divorce rate where it is, children need a day to be
shown that there parents still want and need each other, and most importantly love
each other. -submitted by Mother of 5
A Puzzle of Me
For Valentine's Day, I sent a photo to a puzzle company (you can find them on the
Internet) and they put it on a heart-shaped puzzle. The whole week before
Valentine’s Day, I'm going to mail him a few pieces a day with a love quote to go
with it. -submitted by Michelle
A Year of Romance Calendar
For Valentine’s Day this year, I made my girlfriend a calendar. If you have the right
kind of computer and scanner you can do this, or just go to a copy shop. I made it
myself, and for the picture part, I scanned pictures of my love and I (e.g.: formal
pictures from dances like prom or homecoming, random pictures I liked) and pictures
of our friends. I had 12 pictures in all, one for each month. I made the date grid by
hand, but it can be done on your computer. I wrote something for each day such as:
a reason I love her, special dates, (ex. first time we kissed, first date and where,
dances like prom.) then I glued and taped the pictures and grids on top of an old
calendar and made a cool cover. She loved it and took it to college with her. -Just a
cool little idea...although it took me forever to do! -submitted by Tommy
Advertising Your Love
On Valentine's Day, I had a class early in the morning in this building on campus. As
I walked toward the building I noticed that there were flyers posted everywhere. I
just thought someone was really trying to advertise something. When I got closer, I
realized that they all said, "Jama, I love you...will you be mine? Love, Brian." They
were everywhere, different ones...and everyone was in awe. -submitted by Jama
Cornelius
After Work Surprise II
I took a Chinese box decorated with hearts that I bought at a hobby/craft store and
put Hershey's Valentine Kisses in it. I bought a heart with a key that read, "He who
holds the key can unlock my heart" and placed the key at the bottom underneath the
kisses, and kept the heart with me. Then I wrote a poem on a little pink heart made
out of paper saying, "Between the kisses you will find the key to unlock the greatest
treasure of all time. Come to me, my Love, and see the treasure you are seeking." I
placed that in his truck, while he was at work, and also placed valentine stickers all
over his windows on his truck. I included a gigantic card in his truck along with
balloons that I blew up myself (earlier that day). There were balloons everywhere!
He loved it. -submitted by Alia
Book of ABC's
My freshman year of college I didn’t have much money for Valentine's Day, but I
wanted to show my boyfriend how much I loved him. I bought a binder and some
construction paper and created an alphabet book for him. I began at A and came up
with something special between us for each letter of the alphabet. He absolutely
loved it, and so did all my friends ... many girls in my dorm ended up making similar
gifts for their boyfriends that year! -submitted by Joy
Buried Treasure
I took my love to the beach for Valentine’s day. For a little spice, I took a small
chest, wrote a poem on a heart shaped piece of paper, and placed it in the box. I
also placed petals from a rose, candy hearts and a ring. I went to the beach before
hand and buried the chest under the sand. When I took her to the beach later that
night, I blindfolded her and took her to a spot where I had a blanket and some
candles in the sand. After we ate, I told her to start digging with a plastic shovel and
she found the chest. It was a very romantic night. -submitted by Anonymous
Candy Gram Trail
I took about 5 pages from a long sketchpad, a few pieces of red construction paper,
and some candy bars with special names. I wrote a love note to my husband on the
sheets of sketch paper using marker. I substituted a candy bar everywhere it was
appropriate to fit the meaning of my love note. Then I placed the sheets in order
from our bedroom door along the hall to our living room where his big Valentine's
Day gift was waiting. After I left for work, he got up and followed the "path" as he
was getting ready. -submitted by Working Mom
Candy LoveLib
On Valentine's Day, I wrote my girlfriend a letter with many blank spaces. The
spaces were left open for candy conversation hearts, which I gave to her as she read
the letter. She was pretty happy to say the least. It was in the evening and we were
on a porch swing out in the peaceful country, so the mood was perfect. I had other
gifts, but this was the "most thoughtful." -submitted by Joel Thompson
Captured Heart!
My boyfriend found a wooden cage somewhere and placed in it a little heart pillow.
He attached a note that said, "This cage of simple wood is only symbolic for nothing
in the universe could capture my heart as you did so easily." He gave it to me for
Valentine's Day! -submitted by J.
Christy's B&B
Last year for Valentines day I didn't have a lot of money and wanted to do
something special. Since my husband doesn’t like hotels, I decided to bring the hotel
to us. I borrowed about 20 different teddy bears and decorated our bedroom with
pine tree garland, white lights, candles, red and white balloons and crepe paper. And
of course lots of teddy bears! On the door I made a sign that read Teddy Bear’s
Cabin. It took about 2 hours to decorate our room, but he loved it! He told all of his
friends. It was a great success, and we have proof! This year we have a little
Valentine from that night named Kada. -submitted by Christy
Dictionary for Two
My brother did this for his girlfriend for Valentine's Day: he bought her a dictionary
and highlighted a bunch of words that reminds him of her. Then he gave it to her
with a different color highlighter. She loved it, and they had fun reading the words to
each other!! -submitted by Anonymous
Drive-In Movie at Home
My husband and I have been together for 10 years. For one of our first Valentine’s
Days together, I didn't have any money. So, I got a large refrigerator box and
painted it red, laid it on its side and cut a side out. I made a heart shaped steering
wheel, license plates that read, "lovebug," cardboard wheels, headlights, etc, put it
in the living room and rented a movie for us to watch. We both barely fit in the box
but we squeezed in (all for the better) and ate popcorn and watched our movie! We
had to get rid of the box, but he still has the steering wheel and plates! It was silly
but fun! -submitted by Kate
Find The Sticker Game!
I like trying to think of new & fun games for my husband & I. This Valentine's Day,
I'm really short on cash, so I decided to buy a pack of red "heart shaped" stickers
and I'm going to scatter them all over the house. For every sticker he finds, he gets
one favor. Hopefully he will get VERY creative :) -submitted by Gina
Homemade Love Boxers
This is cute for Valentine's or just an I Love You gift: I got a pair of regular boxers,
got on my computer and made transfers of cute sayings, hearts, kissing lips (I’d
done this myself and scanned it), etc. I then transferred them all onto the boxers.
Make sure to gift wrap it with nice tissue paper. I added a candle in his favorite scent
as well. -submitted by Connie
Little Black Book
Since the guy I just started dating was known for dating many girls at once, I
wanted to give a Valentine’s gift that would let him know I wanted to start making it
just him and me. Then a friend of mine told me the perfect Valentine’s idea: I went
out and bought a little black book. I filled the first line of each page with my name
and number such as: Adorable Ashley, Beautiful Ashley, Cuddly Ashley, Delicious
Ashley, Foxy Ashley, Gorgeous Ashley, and so on. -submitted by Ashley
Love Donuts
Find a place that makes good donuts. Specially order a dozen to be cut in half before
they are fried. This will usually result in them looking like small puffy hearts when
they're done. I did this for my husband for our first Valentine’s Day after we got
married. He was surprised and got a laugh out of it. -submitted by Anonymous
Personalized Crossword Puzzles
A few years ago I started making my own crossword puzzles for my boyfriend.
They're never the perfectly laid-out ones like you see in the newspaper, but all the
answers have to do with our relationship, and that's what makes them beautiful. I
start with one word and then just attach other words until it looks like a game of
scrabble, give each one a number and a simple clue, and it takes him hours to finish
because we talk about memories the entire time. He now looks forward to them
every year on his birthday, Christmas, Valentine's Day, and our anniversary. submitted by Niki
Romantic Pizza Night
Before Valentine’s Day, I joked with my boyfriend telling him that his idea of a
romantic dinner was ordering pizza. On Valentine’s Day night, he came over and
asked me to leave the room. When I came back down he had called a pizza place
and had a pizza made in the shape of a heart with an arrow of pepperoni through it.
He then made (yes he actually baked!) a white cake in the shape of an "I" and a
chocolate cake in a "U". He even put candles all around it. It was the cutest thing! submitted by Inlove77
Rose Petal Frame
On our first Valentine's Day together, we had just started dating in January so we
decided not to get gifts. I wanted to give something anyway, but didn't have much
money, so I went to the Hallmark store and bought a small, square picture frame. It
was simple, so I decorated it, and I framed the petals from first rose he ever gave to
me. The petals were dried and beautifully arranged. He loved it. -submitted by

Secret Valentine
I made my wife 14 Valentine cards sending them to her work place. I mailed one
each day, from different locations, I got her co-workers wondering who was this
mysterious person! Of course, on the 14th of Feb, I made her a special Valentine
card and explained the cards were from her loving husband and I thought about her
all the time. -submitted by Anonymous
Sexy Picture Show
Last year on Valentine's Day, a couple of friends and I got together and took pictures
for our mates. A lady we work with had gone to school for photography, so she took
the pictures. They weren't quit nude pictures, but they were close and very sexy. We
did them all in black and white, which makes them turn out even sexier. I had them
framed in leopard print and snakeskin frames, which also adds to the attraction of
the pictures. Needless to say, he absolutely loved them, and that was a start to an
annual portfolio of sexy pictures! -submitted by Valerie
Sheer Romance
This is one that I did for Valentine's Day. I went to the local fabric store and bought
some sheer black and red material. I took it home and draped it from the ceiling to
all sides of the bed. I did all of the romantic things with roses, chocolate covered
strawberries, and music. I also had a bottle of wine in a tall holder with ice next to
the bed and served it with 2 crystal glasses with ice in our own personal crystal ice
bucket. Don't forget the lace nighty! -submitted by Christine Wentz
Special "Love Quiz"
This is for serious geeks only: I signed up for a GeoCities account with a non-obvious
name and made up a "How romantic are you?" quiz for my husband. It had forms
and radio buttons, same as any other quiz, but they didn't actually do anything.
Instead of an actual button to submit data, I put a cute graphic on the bottom and
wrote, "Click the Cupid to see your score!" Clicking the Cupid took him to a page that
said, "Your test results indicate that you're the perfect one for me! Happy Valentine's
Day!" If you do this, just remember to keep your questions and answers really
generic. If you make an inside joke, you'll ruin the surprise! -submitted by Kilbia
Valentine Treats
First get a box of Rice Krispies cereal, red food coloring, marshmallows, and red
frosting. Go ahead and make the Rice Krispies treats (recipe is on the box) - adding
the food coloring with the marshmallows. Just add enough of the red until you get
the shade you like. Continue following the recipe and put it in the pan. Next, take a
heart shaped cutter and cut them out as hearts. Then take the frosting and write “BE
MINE”, “I LOVE YOU”, etc... on them. Put them in a basket, wrap them up and
they’re ready to go! -submitted by El V'z girl
Video Love
Get together a bunch of pictures of you and your love. Then find a song that means
a lot to both of you. Have a videographer make a video slide show with your pictures
and then add the music to the background. You can really show them how much you
care and have video memories to last a lifetime. I did this for my boyfriend on
Valentines Day. He was speechless. -submitted by Angie R.
Winter Fun
If you live somewhere where you can enjoy the fun involved with winter sports then
for Valentine's Day or any day, take your mate skating or skiing at night under the
stars. Afterwards warm up with some hot chocolate or a nice bottle of wine. Do lots
of snuggling and see where the night leads. -submitted by Anonymous
Yearly Predictions for Couples
We actually started this two years ago as our Christmas tradition, but it would be
great for Valentine's Day as well. Towards the holiday, each one of you writes a
letter to the other telling them the things that you are looking forward to in the
coming year and put it in a cute bottle (for Christmas we use glass ornaments).
These are kept sealed for a year. Then next year, on the holiday, you read the letter
- it's sweet and romantic and fun to see what things were predicted for the two of
you and to see how much did actually happen. It's also a great way to reminisce
about the year! For the first year you write one letter for the coming year, and one
letter for you to read this year that can be about anything - we wrote about what
that first year was like together and what our favorite memories were. -submitted by

Fortune Cookies
To make the fortunes for these cookies, cut 3-inch by 1/2-inch strips of paper and
write or type your own fortunes with non-toxic ink. Because you must work quickly
to shape the cookies, it's best to make them one at a time. Using more than one
baking sheet is also helpful because you won't have to waste time waiting for the
baking sheet to cool. A liquid measuring cup or deep heavy bowl is a good tool for
shaping the cookies.
Ingredients:
1 large egg white
1/4 cup all-purpose flour
1/4 cup sugar
1/4 cup finely chopped sliced almonds
fortunes
Preparations:
Preheat oven to 400°F. and butter a large round area (about 6 inches) in middle of a
baking sheet.
In a small bowl, whisk egg white just until foamy. Add flour, sugar, almonds and a
pinch of salt and beat until smooth. Put 2 teaspoons batter on buttered area of
baking sheet and with back of measuring spoon spread batter evenly into a round
about 3 inches in diameter.
Bake cookie in middle of oven until golden around edge but pale in center, about 5
minutes. Working quickly, with a spatula remove cookie from baking sheet and invert
onto a work surface. Put a fortune in middle of cookie and fold cookie in half. Bend
pointed edges of cookie toward each other and hook them onto rim of a liquid
measuring cup or deep heavy bowl to cool completely.
Make more cookies with remaining batter in same manner, letting baking sheet cool
between cookies. Cookies may be made 3 days ahead and kept in an airtight
container.
Makes about 8 cookies.
