It offers a new kind of understanding of the post-enlargement EU based on the emergence of Baltic Sea Region as a platform of political, social, and cultural action and cooperation. Programme incorporates the perspectives of Contemporary History, International Relations, Human and Geography, Nationalism Studies and Cultural Studies. In a genuinely international classroom, students learn about the multifaceted history of the region, its vibrant political present, and discuss also the future challenges facing it. Equipped with in-depth knowledge about political, economic, and cultural developments on national, regional as well as global levels, BSRS graduates have been employed by a broad variety of academic, governmental, diplomatic and other institutions and organizations. Teaching and learning in the Baltic Sea Region Studies Master’s programme is based on regional approach that complements but also challenges the conventional national and international perspectives. Combining international relations, history, cultural studies, human geography and nationalism studies, it’s an inter- and cross-disciplinary endeavor that strives to create active and innovative environment for studying and learning. We are encouraging independent thinking, critical debate and intellectual creativity. The curriculum offers plenty of opportunities for communication among the students and between them and the teachers. Multinational and multicultural interaction that makes Baltic Sea Region Studies a truly unique academic experience! Using the Photos When you are using the photos, select one or a couple of high-quality photos and give them a lot of space in the layout. Several small photos can make the layout look confusing and disorderly. Carefully considered use of masked and black-and-white photos makes the look interesting and light. The layout, cropping and quality of the photos create an atmosphere – therefore you should choose the images carefully. You don’t have to illustrate the whole text, just choose a photo that fits the topic and is of high-quality. If you have only low-quality photos of the topic, give them a small role in the layout and allow more space for technically superior photos in the illustration.
