The YLS FROZEN 7s LACROSSE LEAGUE is a fast-paced 7v7 YLS winter league for players in search of an exciting outdoor game with the feel of indoor lacrosse. Skill Clinics from quality coaches, regular season Game Schedule, and a Playoff format will decide the YL 7s League Champions. Field setup is a 2D-2M-2A + 1 Goalie, quick whistle goalie clear off of a goal, substitutions on the fly, fastbreak start off of penalties, and other tournament style rules. This is a controlled contact league with an emphasis on game speed, transition skills, quality offensive possessions, and multiple defensive techniques. Sessions will include small team instruction with knowledgeable coaches. In the first half of each session, players will constantly work on the fundamentals and strategy of lacrosse in a TEAM CAMP setting. Players will learn how to think through the game, employ high percentage strategies, and plan ahead. The second half of the session will be instructional games in a scrimmage setting where players will refine their knowledge of the team concepts, how to dictate the pace of the game, and how to increase success by understanding the rules of the game. Sessions will include small team instruction with knowledgeable coaches. Tryout Registration and Tryouts are free, while team selection will incur a non-refundable season fee when accepting the online invitation. YLS Thunderhawks Select Lacrosse players are elite student-athletes who have outstanding fundamentals, high lacrosse IQ, excellent fitness, and are in search of a very competitive lacrosse experience from high level coaches. These players will experience top level practices, cross-training, Triangle scrimmages, and multiple tournaments during the season.
