Presents Building a new tomorrow www.credaiyouthwing.org Present In any field, anywhere, the future lies in the hands of the latest generation. They are passed the mantle of leadership and are expected to handle the workings of their respective fields and collectively, the nation. The first ever CREDAI Youth Confluence is being organized this year and the motive behind it is to let the future generation start where their predecessors left off. Enhancing the quality, methodology and efficiency of work by learning from the past; to build the future. Methods that avoid wasting time and energy behind obtaining mere approvals, empowering the youth by creating a youth that is more knowledgeable, transparent and trusting thus delivering values. The main agendas of the confluence will include strengthening the numbers in the Youth Wing, Knowledge Sharing and Training, furthering Research in the field and redressing common pain points. Lalit Kumar Jain, Chairman - Credai explained that he and his colleagues have never worked in the same manner as their predecessors but in fact worked and developed on old habits to create new ones according to changing needs. This is exactly what the future has to be prepared for and this will be achieved through the CREDAI Youth Confluence 2014. About About CREDAI Youth Wing Established in 1999, the Confederation of Real Estate Developers’ Associations of India (CREDAI) brings together more than 9000 Real Estate Developers from 151 city chapters across 23 states of India under a single umbrella. As the apex body for private sector housing providers, CREDAI has made the industry more organized and progressive through its multifaceted interactions with government representatives, policy makers, investors, finance companies, consumers, real estate professionals and developers. One of the objectives of CREDAI is to establish a spirit of brotherhood within the Association of Developers, Promoters and Builders and to try and ensure that they discharge their responsibilities for the greater good of the community in general. This sparked an idea in the mind of the Chairman, Shri Lalit Kumar Jain, that couldn’t this initiative be started at an earlier phase? From here was born the idea of forming a Youth Wing in CREDAI; a part of the association for the Youth and run by the Youth. CREDAI’s code of conduct is adopted proactively by all its members and promotes self governance and ethical practices. CREDAI updates its members about the latest industry data, technology advancements, industry benchmarks and international situations from time to time. The major objectives of CREDAI are To perpetuate an ethical code of conduct, which is self-imposed and mandatory for all the member developers of CREDAI. To maintain integrity and transparency in the profession of Housing and Real Estate Development. To represent developers across India by communicating and representing to the government authorities for formulation of proactive policies for housing and habitat. To encourage and support developers to increase their efficiency in the development/ construction activities by introducing latest technologies. To disseminate data, statistics and other related information in this sector. To promote the interest of construction workers and to educate them on best practices. To encourage research in habitat, construction and real estate development. To facilitate easy housing finance to property purchasers and construction finance to the developers by working in close coordination with the leading house finance institutions and banks. For more details, kindly visit www.credai.org At the behest of Shri Lalit Kumar Jain, the idea of establishing CREDAI’s Youth Wing was initiated on 24th November, 2012 and formally constituted on 30th March 2013. The primary objective of CREDAI Youth Wing is to prepare the next generation of leaders and torch bearers for CREDAI. They are prepared to draw from the vast experience of the earlier generation and use it with the keen sense of resource application, that the Youth is known for. VISION: “Building a new tomorrow” CREDAI believes in preparing for the Future by starting in the Present. A New Tomorrow is guaranteed to India if its creators are trained and honed for it Today. MISSION: “To create a more knowledgeable, transparent and trusted youth – delivering values” The Youth Wing is being formed keeping in view the need to bring together the younger generation of real estate builders and developers so that they can voice the concerns of the sector by coming together and giving more weight to the voice of CREDAI. By inculcating strong values right from the start, the Youth Wing will ensure that the Leaders of tomorrow will be knowledgeable, open in their working and deliver what they say. CREDAI looks towards its young members to strengthen the Confederation at the grass-root levels. CREDAI Youth Wing divisions have been formed at City, State and National levels with clear assignments which include Research, CSR, Training and other specific assignments guided by the National CREDAI Body. For more details, kindly visit www.credaiyouthwing.org Lalit kumar Jain C. SHEKAR REDDY We are going through challenging times. With an eye on a future filled with hope and the changing political scenario, the need for change is felt at every level of an organisation, be it private, government or association of businesses. Also, the method of conducting businesses within business associations needs to change. By raising a voice we need to find how we can contribute to the “National Vision”. It gives me great pleasure to observe that the CREDAI Youth Wing has been growing with leaps and bounds in the past one and half year. The next generation in Real Estate is gearing up to take over the responsibilities from their seniors and exemplify the values that CREDAI stands for. Chairman - Credai There is also a need for an image upliftment of the sector. The new generation equipped with education, exposure, desire and better work ethics can do it better. Besides, every CREDAI member and each operator in the industry will benefit from a new set of energy and exposure of the youth. Hence the need of a YOUTH WING. The CREDAI YOUTH WING will also encourage a second generation of developers in the business and give them an opportunity to interact with colleagues, seniors and other thought leaders in the industry. This platform will also create the next generation of leadership for CREDAI. The YOUTH WING is a responsible, future oriented giant step for the real estate industry as a whole. We have realized the importance of the next generation in leading India and to facilitate that we invite you to be a part of the first ever CREDAI Youth Confluence in Goa. I wish the confluence a great success! President - Credai The CREDAI Youth Wing recently conducted a series of Corporate Social Responsibility events that saw aggressive participation from most CREDAI members and was very well received by all. Having attended a few Youth Wing programmes myself, I can confidently say that the younger generation is fully capable of facing the challenges that exist in the industry today. Not only can they overcome them, but they will be able to delve into the various intricacies of each obstacle with their futuristic approach. The CREDAI Youth Wing Confluence will bring together the best of young developers from across the country and give everyone the opportunity to make perfect use of this platform for strengthening professional ties. The pivotal mandates of the Confluence include discussions on CSR, Training & Research and Role of Social Media Marketing in Real Estate among others. I heartily bid you welcome to this initiative by the CREDAI Youth Wing. Getamber anand President Elect - Credai Dear Colleagues, It’s my privilege to invite you to a one of its kind CREDAI Youth Confluence, which aims to bring together the Developer Youth of the country and arm them with the experience of the older generation. CREDAI is a reflection of the real estate sector; its concerns and its achievements. Through our interactions we realize that universally the potential of housing is to not only revitalize the Real Estate sector but also positively impact the manufacturing sector and largely the economy. In the future, this responsibility will have to be handled by the Youth of today and they can be made more capable of taking up the mantle through this Confluence. The event will also highlight the issues in the real estate industry and discuss the ways in which they can be tackled by us. I take this opportunity to send out a message of support and all good wishes for this Confluence to be a big success. Amardeep Singh Hira chairMAN - Credai Youth Wing If the Youth is the Future, what is the Future of the Youth? To answer that question and to answer it in a manner that will result in an even better prospect of the future, we are gathering for the first ever CREDAI Youth Confluence. Youth leadership is a hot button issue these days. But I think what we tend to forget or don’t have the opportunity to understand is that youth leadership is very different throughout the world. The motive of this Confluence is to enable the next generation to take up their responsibilities as future leaders in the realty industry and to do it with a feeling of helping the country progress as a whole. The entire Youth Wing Committee has worked tremendously hard to make this happen and we are already anticipating the success it is going to be. Viny Raj Modi National Coordinator - CREDAI Youth Wing Dear Fellow Developers, Are you passionate about Development? Do you want to make a lasting and meaningful change? Let’s get together to discuss development beyond 2014 by participating in the first ever CREDAI YOUTH CONFLUENCE “YOU The FUTURE”, which will be held in Goa from 10th to 12th October, 2014. It is my great honor to invite you to the same. The first Youth Confluence shall provide a unique opportunity for young developers to get together, present their thoughts and critically discuss novel ideas, trends and features, achievements and scenarios in a friendly atmosphere. You will be able to discuss innovative approaches to business and ways to promote and contribute in the global real estate movement. The Confluence is expected to bring together 400 young developers from all parts of our country making the confluence one of the most well represented youth events at the National level in the history of CREDAI. Diipesh Bhagtani National COnvener - CREDAI Youth Wing Event Coordinator - YOU THE FUTURE First, it is an honour to be the Event Coordinator for the first ever CREDAI Youth Confluence, especially since it is being organized on a national level. With the advent of a new age and all the unique resources and technologies that it brings with it, there is a huge difference between the method of working of the older generations and the latest one. Bettering the relationship based on the understanding of developers across generations is what this CREDAI Youth Confluence is all about. Using the experience of our seniors, who have gained in the industry through years of dedicated work on projects of varied scopes, and combining them with the skill and resources that are at the disposal of the younger generation, we can create an extraordinary team. This entire Youth Confluence is happening so that this difference or gap between the generations can be minimized and a platform is created for them to interact. We aim to build a unity among young developers from all over India that has never been experienced earlier. THE MOTIVATION BEHIND THE YOUTH CONFLUENCE The 21st century marks a new age for India. Each individual of this generation is defined by a buoyant, optimistic and youthful spirit. There is a rise in their inherent skill and a dramatic increase in their achievements on national and international platforms. The possibilities open to the youth today have scaled exponentially and so has their intense drive to succeed. At this First ever Youth Confluence, we address some critical issues faced by the realty industry and come up with viable solutions as suggested by an expert panel of delegates. We offer a platform for those leaders to take charge and revolutionize tomorrow, starting today. At the confluence your decision making skill, intellect and working under pressure skills will be put to test as you face off against the most distinguished minds of your generation. As India continues to grow, of growing concern is the fact whether the real estate sector can make complete use of this. The youth of today must not only benefit but also be capable of making contributions through generating and implementing ideas that give a boost to the industry. It is time for the youth to create solutions for themselves! By raising awareness of the opportunities available, this confluence will enable participants to self-improve their store of potential. This confluence will showcase the leading edge of youth-led innovation, next generation impact investing, and emerging leadership through serious networking. This is poised to be the most exciting confluence CREDAI has conceptualized for the Youth of the industry. KEY MOTIVE OF THE YOUTH CONFLUENCE A question arises if our current younger generation is more talented than the one before? If we take the basis that talent is not inborn but is nurtured, are we doing all we can to present them with enough opportunities? This confluence aims to motivate the youth to revealing their inner strengths and fortify their business diplomacy and moral practices. This First Youth Confluence encourages every delegate to contribute in their own unique manner in order to bring about a Change in the world. CREDAI Youth Wing is conducting this CREDAI Youth Confluence for an internal transformation within the youth in the real estate industry and forge accountable, benchmark citizens who provide alternative solutions to the real estate industry.
