Stop by to see our “Pink Out” in honor of Breast Cancer
Awareness Month. Wear something pink in support of this great
cause. We invite you to post photos and/or stories on the Center’s
bulletin board and Facebook page in remembrance/celebration of
friends and family that have battled this disease.
*Members may bring 1 guest to work out. Guests are required
to sign a waiver and must be 18 years old or older. Children ages
14 to 17 must be accompanied by a parent or legal guardian.
Battling Bikes:
12-Hour Cycle for the Cure
Friday, October 17

Sign-up: Fitness Desk
Join us for our 1st annual Battling Bikes event! Sign up for a
30-minute slot on 1 of our 5 teams and cycle for the cure;
$5 donation to participate. Costumes are encouraged! 3 winning
teams will be announced at the end of the day: most money raised,
furthest combined distance and best costumes! All proceeds
benefit Washington Health System Women’s Health Services.

This 8-week weight loss program meets
once a week for 1-hour sessions. Each class
consists of a 30-minute exercise session
and a 30-minute nutrition demonstration/
activity. Learn together and exercise
together to maximize your weight loss.

purchase an exclusive 8-week gym pass for

Kick Start to a Healthy Heart
Instructor: Sheila Burcin, MS, RD
Thursdays, October 30-November 20

A 4-week program that meets once a week
for 1-hour sessions. During this class you will
learn how to prevent, manage and reverse
cardiovascular disease using the most current
evidence based practices. Participants learn in
a fun, interactive atmosphere including cooking
demonstrations and a grocery store tour.

Strength Training for Runners

Classes are limited to 8 participants. Each
class will have a power training component
as well as a strength component which
will both progress concurrently. The
1st week of the program will begin by
introducing the basic exercises and light
plyometric movements aimed at teaching
and conditioning the body for more intense
physical loads. The exercises will become
progressively more difficult and complex until
the 4th week, consisting of high intensity
plyometrics and dynamic power moves when
participants will peak in their training.
Fitness Level: This class is designed for
runners that are at the end of their seasons
and/or off-seasons for running, who want to
strength train in preparation for the next year.

As proud members of the World Tang Soo Do
General Federation Moo Duk Kwan, we teach
the traditional Korean Martial Art of Tang Soo
Do. Although the core of our curriculum is
self-defense, we don’t just teach kicking and
punching. Our program focuses are: SelfDefense, Confidence, Discipline, Self-Control,
Concentration, Flexibility, Weight Loss, Focus,
and Respect. Try our introductory program for
$20 per person. The intro program includes
a free uniform and up to 4 private lessons
(1-on-1) with our Master level instructor.
