based course looking at the basics of the Christian faith and with
lots of discussion and questions.
Alpha is for everyone; no question is out of bounds and you are
free to discuss as much or as little as you wish. We don’t assume
any background knowledge of or belief in Christianity and
everyone is welcome. A new course starts at St. James’ Church
at 7.30pm on Tuesday, 14th October.
More details from Helen Perris on 429398.

will also be a ‘Bring & Buy’ stall.
COMPASSION SUNDAY, 19 OCTOBER
As a church we support over 20 children in Togo through the

If you currently sponsor a child through compassion, please
contact Kirsty Beaumont (424689), our Compassion rep, before
the day, so we can organise a display of pictures and letters
from our sponsored children.

HOPE 4 KIDS INTERNATIONAL
This charity is currently fundraising for a desperately needed bus!
The bus will be used to enable children to attend school and the
local community in Karundas, Kenya.
They need:
dry, clean, wearable, re-usable items of good
quality clothing, pairs of shoes, belts & handbags but can’t use
bedding or soft furnishings. Anything of a good quality and
condition will be sent overseas to third world countries,
supporting the local communities by supplying cottage industries,
anything else will be recycled but ALL will make a difference to
the fundraising venture!
Please bring your donation to The GateWay, or take it to Eden
Motors, Brympton Way, Lynx Trading Estate (labelled Hope for
Kids), and it will be turned into money to send to Kenya.
