Work-related Danish courses
Students who attend work-related Danish courses at
Sprogcenter Aalborg will attend the same Danish
course for beginners as the students who are referred to ordinary Danish courses.
Students both categories will be taught work-related
Danish
Students who are referred to work-related Danish
courses will be offered a 250 lessons Danish course.
The course must be completed within 1½ year after
commencement. This counts for students who are
referred to work-related Danish courses from January 1.th 2014
After the 250 lessons the student`s knowledge of
Danish will be tested through a relevant test provided
by the language school.
If the student wants to continue Danish courses after
the 250 lessons course he/she is allowed to continue
the ordinary Danish courses. The test be used to
place the student on the level they are qualified to
participate in. The student is allowed to continue ordinary Danish courses and conclude with a statecontrolled final exam within 3 years timeframe after
commencement .
Referral to Danish courses
Foreigners who have a Danish cpr number must
obtain a referral for work-related Danish courses
at the municipality and if the student wants to continue learning Danish after the 250 lessons
course, the student needs a new referral for the
Ordinary Danish courses.
Family reunion members and refugees must also
obtain a referral for the Ordinary Danish courses
from the municipality. In this case it is the language school who evaluates and refers the student for modultest and the final examination of
Danish.
Some students can expect to complete their Danish education in 1½ year ,while others will need
considerable longer time to complete their Danish
education. To obtain a referral for Danish classes
a prospective student must contact the
“kommune” ( council/municipality) in which they
reside.
In Aalborg Kommune the referral is obtained
through Jobcenter Integration, Kastetvej 26, tlf: 99
31 58 01. Jobcenter Integration holds information
sessions every Tuesday at 9.30 am and again on
Thursday at 3.15 pm. This provides an opportunity
