PRESS RELEASE – OCTOBER 9 , 2 01 4 KIRKLAND LAKE PROMOTIONAL BILLBOAR D- TIME IS RUNNING OUT! Kirkland Lake community groups are running out of time to promote themselves. Space is quickly disappearing on the new promotional billboards located at either entrance to town. October 15 is the deadline to take advantage of Creative D-Signs offer to produce logos at half price. Groups that sign on before that date pay only $75 for their logo to be included on the new billboards ($60 + HST and a $15 participation fee). After October 15, the cost rises to $135. Annual costs such as MTO fees and maintenance are shared between all participants. Fourteen community groups have already signed on. The billboards have space for 18-20 logos. Participation in the project is on a first come, first serve basis. “The project is intended to help raise the profile of those groups whose charitable works, mandate, membership and/or activities, touch all residents and help make KL a better place to live,” said Project Coordinator Stephanie Paulins. Work on the new signs will begin in mid-October. Completion is scheduled for mid-November.
