Lights: South of the port is the Sønderstrand Lighthouse placed. White, red and green lights with occlusions. The white sector leads through the Fjord from the Varnæs Hage. The lighthouse is a white building made of wood and the frontside is painted orange. See Danish Chart no. 159 (plan). Leading lights: See Danish Chart no. 159 (plan). Tugs: One 450 HP tugboat is permanently stationed at the port. Larger tugs are available at 24 hour’s notice. Resources: Fresh water, provisions and all grades of fuel are available. Facilities: The Aabenraa Port disposes of the following cranes: a) 1 harbour mobile crane, hook or grab. Max. lifting capacity 100 tons. b) 1 harbour mobile crane, hook or grab. The manual will also be available at Aabenraa Port’s website www.aabenraaport.dk and can be requested at the Port Office as well. 9 Aabenraa Port - Portinfo 2013 RECEPTION FACILITIES: According to national and international regulations the Aabenraa Port has established facilities for reception of oily residues, oily ballastwater and garbage etc. Vessels calling at the port have an obligation to deliver waste before leaving the port, cf. the Ministry of the Environment’s executive order no.1632. The rates are generally adjusted every year on 1st January. Crane hire, water supply, power supply, temporary wharfage and renting of water areas: The dues are set by the Port Committee. The rates are generally adjusted every year on 1.st January. Conditions for tenancy of hinterland: The Aabenraa Port has at its disposal approximately 315.000 m² of hinterland, which is leased to port companies on certain conditions. The hinterland is divided into 3 charge zones according to distance from quay - see classification plan on page 19. In accordance with the conditions, the tenant commits himself to a turnover guarantee in form of shipping and harbour dues via the port (minimum guarantee).
