The Frosh-Soph Girls place 2nd with Ellie Osko winning the race with a fine time of 20:03. Her teammates helping her to the Team 2nd Place finish were Yergler (9th), Franz (12th), Shapland (15th), & Ciko (24th). The Frosh-Soph Boys placed 1st with Ross Stanley placing first with a great time of 16:55. Scoring for the F/S were Meyer (2nd), DeLuca (4th), Roe (9th), & Cloninger (11th). The Varsity Girls place 3rd with Fitzgibbons (9th), Spradlin (13th), Grieves (18th), Kessler (28th), & Pitts (30th). The Varsity Boys placed 1st with Jake Gillum winning the race with a great time of 15:11. Scoring for the RUNNIN' RED were Mangold (2nd), Wipfler (4th), John Crotteau (8th), & Matt Crotteau (13th). Earning All-Conference awards were Fitzgibbons, Gillum, Mangold, Wipfler, & John Crotteau. Regional will be held this Saturday at Normal U-High (Maxwell Park in Normal). 10 of the 25 Girls posted PR's (Personal Record) on the Detweiller Course and 17 of the 25 Boys ran PR's for the Course! gj. Golf: Congratulations to the girls golf team who placed 11th in the Class A State tournament this past weekend. Scoring in the two day tournament was Laura Wipfler with an 89 & 84 - 173, Katie Troutt; 97 & 96 - 193, Mamie Ambrosch 99 & 99 - 198, and Kristen Worner 108 & 99 - 207. Kelsey Troutt finished with finished with a 209 and Katlin Paranto with a 219. Laura Wipfler placed 37th among 114 players for the 2 days and her 84 in Saturdays round was 29th that day. Cross Country:The Cross Country Teams hosted the 38th RUNNIN' RED INVITE on Saturday at Black Partridge Park. In the four races a total of 714 Runners ran the 2.94 mile course. In the Frosh-Soph Girls Race, we placed 7th in the 11 Team Field with Osko (40th), Yergler (41st), Franz (43rd), Shapland (54th), & Ciko (58th) placing for the Ladies. The Frosh-Soph Boys won the 13 Team Field with Koval (1st), DeLuca (5th), Meyer (8th), Stanley (11th), & Roe (36th). The Varsity Girls 7th in the 17 Team Field with Fitzgibbons (24th), Spradlin (26th), Kessler (41st), Grieves (46th), & Pitts (54th). The Varsity Boys placed 2nd in the 23 Team Field with Gillum (2nd), Wipfler 10th, Mangold (12th), John Crotteau (16th), & McClure (28th). Of the 23 Lady Runnin' Red who ran, 18 ran PR's on the home course. Of the 25 Runnin' Red who ran, 19 established PR's on the course.
