As per police sources, on specific inputs, police team from Banihal Police Station laid a naka near Banihal and intercepted a truck bearing registration number JK02AH-4865. During checking, police recovered 190 bags of Government cement, which the driver of the vehicle was smuggling to Valley for black-marketing. The Government cement loaded from the PWD Store Ramban in the truck was sanctioned in favour of Manzoor Ahmed, Contractor for the construction of Revenue Complex at Gool. Police arrested the driver of the vehicle, who has been identified as Sohail Ahmed, a resident of tehsil Banihal, district Ramban. A case under FIR number 132/14 under Section 406, 409 and 420 RPC has been registered at Banihal and investigation started to ascertain the people involved in this black-marketing business of Government cement.
