INTRODUCTION:
This course is specifically developed to provide participants in the manufacturing industry the basic real-time
statistical techniques for process control and improvement. Participants will gain knowledge of the basic
fundamentals of process improvement, concept of variation, statistical control and other simple but powerful
statistical techniques.
OBJECTIVES:
At the end of this programme, participants will be able to :Identify specific area in your company where quality and productivity improvement methodology can
be applied.
In-depth understanding of the concepts underlying SPC.
Examine necessary steps in implementing SPC methods into your company effectively.
Knowledge of process characterization, control and improvement flow.

TRAINER:
Mr. Kuang Kok Hoo graduated from the University of Science Malaysia. He majors in Applied Statistics and Operational
Research and Minors in Management. He is a Senior Member of the American Society for Quality (ASQ) and ASQ Certified
Quality Engineer (CQE) and Manager of Quality/Organizational Excellence (CMQ/OE). He is also the Lead Auditor from
International Register of Certificated Auditor (IRCA), United Kingdom specializing in ISO9000 QMS, ISO 14001 EMS,
ISO22000 Food Industry QMS, ISO/TS16949 Automotive QMS, and Six Sigma Champion / Leader. He has been exposed to
various kind of trainings such as ISO 9000/ ISO22000/ ISO/TS16949 Quality Management System, ISO14001 Environmental
Management System, Train the Trainer, Competency Based Training (CBT) from DETAFE, Adelaide Australia and Statistical
Quality Control Courses such as Statistical Process Control (SPC), Advance SPC, 6 Sigma Program, Failure Mode Effects
Analysis (FMEA), Acceptance Sampling Plans, Gage Repeatability & Reproducibility (GR&R), Design of Experiment (DOE),
Product Reliability & Liability, 7 QC Tools, 7 Advance Quality Management & Planning Tools, 5S Housekeeping, Quality

His major accomplishment were in the setting up the ISO 9000 / ISO14000 / ISO22000 / ISO/ TS16949 Quality Management
System, introduced Total Quality Culture and Function, Six Sigma Black Belt and Green Belt Programmes, Lean Manufacturing
System, Total Productive Maintenance (TPM) and Just-In-Time (JIT), Kaizen Improvement Programmes activities in such
organizations. Mr. Kuang also is an invited judge and speaker for some of the manufacturing industries and government bodies
