All the believers were one in heart and mind. No one claimed
that any of their possessions was their own, but they shared
everything they had. 33 With great power the apostles continued
to testify to the resurrection of the Lord Jesus. And God’s grace
was so powerfully at work in them all 34 that there were no needy
persons among them. For from time to time those who owned
land or houses sold them, brought the money from the sales
35
and put it at the apostles’ feet, and it was distributed to anyone
who had need.
36
Joseph, a Levite from Cyprus, whom the apostles called
Barnabas (which means “son of encouragement”), 37 sold a field
he owned and brought the money and put it at the apostles’ feet.

A Stephen Ministry Congregation
Foster Care Team - As introduced last Spring, Mt View is
beginning a new Foster Care Team that encompasses many
aspects of foster care in addition to being a foster parent. We
have several people from the community as well as Mt View
members who are actively volunteering with this new mission.
Please join us to hear about the many ways you can become
involved. If you have a heart to help vulnerable children, no
matter what stage of life you are in, there is a place for you.
We will be gathering in the EEC room at 10:30-11:45 a.m. on
Sunday October 26. Childcare is provided if you make
reservation (Mollyk@mtviewpres.org) at least one week ahead. If you have
questions, you can contact Joan Malouf at jpmalouf@gmail.com.
Local Team - Shoebox Ministry - Undie Sundie is in progress. See the Mission
table for more details. In addition, large bottles of shampoo are desperately
needed for toiletry kits. Unlimited Potential - Luncheon, Monday, Nov. 1 4th
11:30 - 1:00. Please join us to learn more about Unlimited Potential, and the powerful
work they do. For more information, please contact Joan Koppenbrink at
jkoppenbrink@yahoo.com. Gila-Crossing Community School and Vista del Camino
holiday drives will be starting soon. Watch for upcoming info. If you are interested
in helping with either, please contact andrewfosberg@gmail.com
Africa Team - If you would like to volunteer your time or talents to help with
the scholarship fundraiser gala for Daystar University and/or if you would love to
attend, please contact Don Kredel at dpkredel@aol.com The gala is scheduled for
Nov 1st. Afrizo is coming, stay tuned…..
Middle East Team - Welcome home from the awe inspiring journey to the Holy
Land. Thank you Gayle Meredith for all of your hard work and preparation.

Every Wednesday night join us for fully inclusive offerings for students ages
nursery-12th grade. We have certified staff in self-contained classrooms for
children who require those resources, as well as mainstreamed children's, pre-teen,
junior high, and high school programs from 5:45-7:00 p.m. Questions, contact
Melissa at melissaf@mtviewpres.org or at 998-1085 x135.
Mom’s Bible Study - First and Third Tuesday of every month from 9:00 to
10:30 a.m. (First Tuesday at coffee shop or member home, and the Third
Tuesday in the EEC). Join us for a morning of fellowship and discussion with moms
of children with learning differences, spectrum disorders, ADHD, medical fragility
and a variety of special needs.
Join Shoebox Ministry during the month of October in making
this special event a success by donating new and like new
undergarments for the Valley’s estimated 15,000 homeless and
650,000 working poor. Each morning as we dress we take for
granted that when we open our drawer there will be clean
undergarments awaiting us. This is a comfort that thousands of
men, women and children don’t have. Our goal is to collect 8,000
pieces and distribute them to 40+ Valley agencies serving those in need. Brighten the day for someone
in need by picking up an extra package of underwear, undershirts, socks or bras. Items are needed for
men, women and children; the greatest need being for men.
Shoebox Ministry is a non-profit organization dedicated to providing toiletries & skivvies to the
homeless all year. Reach us at 480-905-1610 or laura@shoeboxministry.org
Undergarments are the
number one clothing item
needed by the homeless.
AFRIZO music group from Daystar University in

sung in English, Swahili, and African tribal languages. The group, founded and directed
by Kenyan celebrity singer and Daystar professor, Hellen Mtawali, is touring the U.S. to
raise scholarship funds for African students who otherwise couldn’t dream of a college
education.
