Caribbean Contact Information
The eye of a powerful Category 3 storm with 125 mph
winds and higher gusts is moving toward the British
territory of Bermuda, according to the National
Hurricane Center in Miami. Hurricane Gonzalo had
reached Category 4 strength with maximum sustained
winds of 145 mph. Although now weakening,
Gonzalo’s forward speed is increasing, and it is still
expected to bring damaging winds, life-threatening
storm surges, and significant coastal flooding when it
reaches Bermuda by late Friday.
