Approval of Chairman-Cum-M.D will be required for sanction of higher amount beyond Rs. 3,000/(Rupees Three Thousand) or any advance for treatment outside the State. e) Ordinarily not more than one advance should be granted in respect of the same illness or injury. If, however, the concerned medical officer in charge of the patient, on reconsideration, certifies that the estimated cost of the treatment would be much more than previously certified, either on account of longer duration of the treatment than previously anticipated or due to the fact that the patient requires costly treatment which was not in view at the time of issuing the original certificate, a second advance may be sanctioned by Chairman provided that total amount of the advance does not exceed the limits specified in clause (d) above. In a case, however, where the anticipated cost of further treatment as certified by the concerned medical officer-in-charge of the patient falls short of the amount of advance, adjustment of the advance, to the extent of the difference between the amount of the advance f) (ii) 25 and the anticipated cost of further treatment may be effected from the reimbursement claim of the officer.
