Floats must be made of fire retardant materials, strictly enforced by Long Beach Fire Department Photograph or sketch of entry and copy of current insurance certificate must be provided for all floats All entries must be approved by parade committee. Any deviation from rules must be approved by the Parade Committee prior to acceptance of the application One representative must attend the mandatory parade meeting on Tuesday, November 18 at 7:00 PM at Rogers Middle School Auditorium, 365 Monrovia Ave, Long Beach All participants must be uniformed, costumed and/or appropriately attired Sponsored bands and sponsored entries must provide two (2) banner carriers Units must be checked in by 5:00 PM Only vehicles with parade passes will be allowed in staging area. Please note number of vehicle passes needed on application. This will be required for unloading in staging area The Parade begins promptly at 6:00 PM. Late entries or participants will not be permitted to join the parade procession. Forward motion must be maintained throughout parade route All entries should have a positive attitude, respect diversity and be non-controversial Parade will proceed rain or shine No one under age 8 will be permitted to march (without special permission). Entries should carry an identification banner if possible No live Santa Claus allowed, except one provided by parade committee No alcoholic beverages allowed in parade. Strictly enforced by Long Beach Police Department No items may be thrown or distributed along parade route - Violators will be pulled from parade route Parade committee accepts no responsibility for false statements made by applicants or entrants.
