Everything is changing. Yet many churches still act like they are businesses and are silent, at least publically, regarding major fundamental changes in society, culture and law. Pastor Baldwin wants to change all that. He has a vision and a campaign. He is establishing NON-501(c)3 churches and with it a movement of morality and virtue, the Liberty Church Project. Are churches at liberty to speak however they want? Are they disallowed from practicing their first amendment rights in order to be “tax-exempt?” No. But if they think they are then they are. Pastor Baldwin is coming to town to teach neglected and little known truths, legal, historical and Biblical ones, as a good shepherd. His LCP, the Liberty Church Project is a breath of fresh air! Brother Baldwin believes what Dr. Bob Jones Jr. wrote, to which my Mom added the score, and which we will be singing at the Liberty Church Project meetings on November 12-13. This is the third stanza. “Lessons of history too soon forgot. Calls to repentance by men heeded not; Warnings rejected, God’s wrath waxes hot. Seek for His mercy lest doom be thy lot.” Don’t miss it! The launch of the Liberty Church Project with Dr. Chuck Baldwin is coming here in November to a “Scriptorium” near you. This mini-conference will be held on a Wednesday night and all day Thursday. One of the great secrets of the Upstate, a real Scriptorium, is sponsoring this special conference because Pastor Baldwin’s agenda and the Scriptorium seem to fit like hand in glove! As America now appears to be in a full and fast, (maybe freefall) slide down the cliff continuing a destructive path of “fundamental change” does not someone need to stand up and oppose the multiple oppressive agendas? These things are “discussed” day in and day out on radio station W.O.R.D.,yet no leaders make any differences. Why? Ask yourself, really! Should the largest cause of death in America be abortions, far ahead of heart attacks? Should Obamacare agents have the right to enter every home and dictate, literally require the drugs children “need?” Should our borders be wide open and no authority figures network together and not just oppose but give ultimatums to our elected “representatives?” Pastor Baldwin is not only calling for shepherds of the nation to stop hiding behind walls but is planting Non 501(c)3 churches with convictions that are Biblical and strong. His first session here at the Scriptorium here in Taylors will be about the Black-robed Regiment of yesteryear during the era of the Revolutionary War. They In 2008 the upstate of SC welcomed a fine and fantastic Presidential Candidate from Florida. His name was the Reverend Chuck Baldwin. A glimmer of hope began to burn as this successful religious man with a passion, vision and inspiring words wowed patriots and good moral citizens alike at the Hilton. Though an evangelical pastor, Chuck Baldwin has never been afraid, like so many of his peers, to fight for the right in the public arena of ideas and politics, and to stand for truth and Jesus Christ. His column has often shown the way in this very newspaper. Brother Baldwin has blazed a trail all along until now we find him on a grander trajectory, one that should give every reader of this newspaper and lover of the freedoms we Americans have enjoyed, great understanding and purpose. This vision of the Pastor is one in which he seeks to break the darkness of doubts and the fear and intimidation of the tax policies that evidently police and silence otherwise good church pastors everywhere, perhaps indirectly but truly. Why are they afraid to speak out on T.V., on radio, in editorials, in the streets, etc. if Jesus is their Lord to whom “all authority” was and is given? Are they hirelings? THE HOPE OF THE GOSPEL IN SOCIETY We thank God for shepherds like Pastor Baldwin!. On a Wednesday night and all day Thursday, (Nov. 12-13), Pastor Chuck Baldwin will again be in town to speak and lead! But this time he is running for your vote on a higher calling. Will you add this to your calendar? Brother Baldwin is seeking to inspire and plant free churches, churches that will actually do something in regard to the catastrophe known as “politics,” cultural change and so many other media led perversions. He wants to see a NON 501c3 fellowship planted here in the Upstate of SC. Would you consider joining such a fellowship if it was Christocentric and established according to the axioms in Acts? Gospel work outside the church walls is greatly needed, and Jesus led the way. During the Acts of the Apostles the gospel mission was ratcheted up to extraordinary and dynamic levels by the power of the Holy Spirit. We believe this revival can and will happen again as history and God work in cycles, and the Bible in Joel’s prophecies speaks about a faith in “ an “early and latter rain” of which Pentecost was the early rain. But either way, whatever you believe, we hope you are also delighted and feel privileged so as to hear and help Pastor Baldwin launch an end-times vision, of establishing truly free churches and calling for Pastor’s everywhere to throw off the supposed public shackles of 501c3. What many seem to miss in our modern Evangelical and Fundamental church culture is the fact that the work of the Good News always included woes against the Pharisees, Lawyers, Scribes and Sadducees – from the lips of See LIBERTY, Page 11
