VOICES of Mobile is a highly versatile auditioned vocal ensemble
consisting of 18 singers from the University of Mobile. While VOICES
focuses on Contemporary Christian music, it also presents music of
traditional genres. VOICES has performed in the While House, Notre
Dame Cathedral in Paris, France and toured extensively throughout the
Southeastern United States. You will not want to miss them.
A Moment with the Pastor
No church could appreciate and love their pastor and wife more than
what you showed Arlinda and me this last Sunday night. I am so blessed to be
called Pastor of FBC Prattville. We love you so much.
The celebration service and reception were awesome. I know that is an
over used word but it was just awesome. Thank you, Carl Salle, chairman of
Deacons, father-in-law to our daughter, co-grandfather to our two grandsons,
and friend. You coordinated everything so well. Thank you Doug Savell, Joe Mathis, David
McDowell, Diane Burns, John Johnston, and Rick Lance (Executive Director, State Board of
Missions of the Alabama Baptist Convention) for speaking on the platform. Thank you Mitch,
Carter, musicians, and our great Adult Choir and Student Choir. Thank you Brent, Carla, and
Christen and their families for being there and sharing as well. I don’t want to forget the
reception. Bev Jackson and her Fellowship Team out did themselves with the beautiful
decorations and delicious food. Forgive me if I left anyone out. I know many people worked
behind the scenes.
I’m grateful for our staff and church leadership for their followship and desire to serve and
use their giftedness to see our church grow. God’s hand has been upon us. May we continue to
serve Him and allow Him to use us. And as He allows, I hope to serve you many more years.
Travis
From the Associate Pastor
Don’t forget our “No Excuse” High Attendance Day coming up this Sunday, October 26. Our goal is 1300
in attendance. If you are not currently connected to a Sunday School class, this is a great week to start.
If you have dropped out due to late nights, football, sleeping in, ambivalence, etc., well, time to set the
excuses aside and get connected again!
Here are some reasons to connect with a Sunday School class:

You have the opportunity to participate in an on-going Bible study.

It’s the best way to connect with others in the church.

It is the surest avenue to participate in ministry and missions.

You can “bear one another’s burdens” through prayer and ministry support.

Accountability – like vegetables, you may not always like it but it’s good for you.
No excuses! See you in Sunday School.
Work Day
