This marks the fiftieth anniversary of the 1964 presidential election. On the face of it, this
election was a smashing triumph for American liberalism, but the seminar focuses on the way
in which it forecast the conservative dominance of American politics over the last generation.

An Invitation to Give: Stewardship 2015
While stewardship is a year-round conversation, the focused Third Church stewardship effort
begins in October, culminating with Stewardship Sunday on November 16. Our theme, “An
Invitation to Give,” connects with our Year of Invitation and reminds us that God invites us to
share from what God has so abundantly shared with us. If you would like to attend an in-home

School #3 Needs Chaperones

Elementary School #3 is looking for chaperones to accompany students on a field trip to
Genesee Country Village and Museum. Volunteers will receive free admission. The trip leaves

Please consider walking or running to support the Grocery Run on Saturday, November 1. You
can register right in coffee hour or online. You can participate at any level that you feel
comfortable: there is a one-mile stroll along East Avenue or if you want to, challenge yourself
try the 5K (3 mile) option, or you can simply sponsor a friend if you can't walk or run this
time. Last year we had participants from Third Church ranging from 4 to 84.

With Heart and Voice: Remembering Richard Gladwell

The community is invited to gather for a special Choral Evensong to celebrate the life of Richard
Gladwell. He was the creator of the nationally syndicated radio program, With Heart and Voice, in which
he shared his passion for sacred choral and organ music. Richard passed away five years ago, on October
15, 2009, but his legacy still thrives on public radio stations across the country. The Third Church Chancel
Choir will participate, along with singers from the choirs of several other area churches. More
