Dear Parishioners,

October 26, 2014
Thirtieth Sunday in ordinary time
Dear Parishioners,
In this bulletin you will find the 2014 CTK Annual Report. This report
outlines the monetary gifts you give to God in gratitude and in trust for all of
His blessings and how those monies are used. In addition to the many ways
you share your time and talent with your family and others, you have made a
conscious decision to share your gifts with our parish community, and for that
I am grateful.
Thank you for the important part you play in the life of our parish.
God Bless You,
Msgr. Frank McNamee, Rector

A note of thanks
Dear Monsignor McNamee,
On behalf of the thousands of family members
served by Atlanta Habitat for Humanity, I would
like to offer my sincere thanks for Cathedral of Christ the King’s recent house
sponsorship gift. Your generous donation supports the construction of an
affordable, quality, energy-efficient home through the Cathedral of Christ the
King build.
Page 5
Atlanta Habitat’s program serves more than just the families who ultimately
purchase the homes. It has a positive effect on a surrounding communities
and is often the catalyst for revitalization in Atlanta’s once-challenged intown
neighborhoods.

CATHEDRAL OF CHRIST THE KING
YOUR CATHEDRAL
PARISH FAMILY
YOUR LEGACY
In our earliest years, visionary
parishioners utilized planned giving
as a way to fulfill their hopes and
dreams for the Cathedral. For
example, one of our founding
parishioners established a charitable
trust in her will, naming the
Cathedral as beneficiary. The gift was
small at first but has grown
significantly over the decades
continuing to bless the Cathedral day
after day.
We invite you to consider a planned
gift to our Cathedral Fund as your
long term legacy. Your gift will help
support special projects and ministry
needs beyond our annual operating
expenses. A simple provision in your
will or a designation from a
retirement plan can create your
future gift .You can designate a
particular project or ministry or your
funds can be used for the general
needs of the Cathedral.
We are ready to work with you and
your advisors to develop a gift plan
that best suits your goals and
objectives.

giving opportunities, please contact

WELCOME FROM THE PASTOR AND
CATHEDRAL STAFF
Dear Friends in Christ,
On behalf of Archbishop Wilton Gregory, the Clergy and
staff, I welcome you to the Cathedral of Christ the King. I
hope and pray that you feel welcomed by our parish
community and that your spiritual and pastoral needs will
be met.
We are a very active parish with 5,500 families and over one
hundred ministries. We encourage our members to share
their gifts of time, talent and treasure.
Our mission statement is to “Know, Love and Serve as Jesus
Did”. This is the mission of each disciple of Christ and, if
you are new, I hope and pray that you will join us and be
part of the community of Christ the King. If you are passing
through or visiting the city of Atlanta, I hope you enjoy your
worship experience and please visit us again.
If you would like to know more about our parish, you can
visit our website at www.cathedralofchristtheking.org or
email us.
May we, this day and all the days of our lives, know, love
and serve as Jesus did.
Prayers and Blessings,
Msgr. Frank McNamee, Rector
