OCTOBER 2014 eMOBILITY Charging Stations Power is our world. Connecting power THE ORIGINAL. SINCE 1925. 2 Albert Büttner from Lauf, Germany, the founder of our company, developed the Schuko plug in 1925. His patent has become the industry standard and the most widely spread plug connection system in the world. 90 years later, our third-generation, family-owned company ABL is still way out in front when it comes to developing and producing highquality plug and socket devices for trade and industry. Protecting power At around the same time, the first automatic fuse was invented at Sursum in Nuremberg, Germany. Thanks to ongoing technological developments within our company, today we are able to provide circuit breakers for global building installation and industry. 3 Charging power We are also pioneers in our latest product area: e-mobility. We enjoy being involved in a future market that is just getting going and developing products that meet new standards and satisfy our customers’ requirements. We think ahead in order to provide charging stations that can do more than just ‘charge power’. 4 In a few years time, people will look back on petrol engines in the same way we look back on steam engines. They’ll talk about what a good time it was, but it’s over now and it’s not coming back. Elon Musk, Tesla 5 The eMH1 charging station We are pleased to be in a position to offer you a practical solution for charging your electric car: the eMH1 charging station. When you can charge your vehicle safely, driving on electric power is really fun. ‘Little things for big jobs’: Our eMH1 is actually the smallest charging station in the world and fits in any garage. It looks great and can recharge any electric car. 6 The eMH1 developed naturally and now offers solutions for new requirements. Are you looking for a charging station you can connect yourself ? Do you have a fleet of vehicles that needs to be individually billed? Not a problem: The following information will tell you all you need to know about the entire eMH1 series. 7 8 eMH1 BASIC with cable Little things for big jobs. Our eMH1 is the world’s smallest charging station for private applications. It’s attractive, compact and it saves space, making it the perfect solution for your garage. Equipped with a charging cable and charging connector, the unit is perfectly configured for your car. This means there’s no need for the inconvenient cable connection and your eMH1 is always ready to charge. 9 10 eMH1 BASIC with socket Little things for big jobs. We also offer the same eMH1 but with a socket for the semi-public sector. The eMH1 is on hand to charge various electric vehicles in company, hotel and exhibition centre car parks or in underground garages. Vehicle owners can connect their own plugs and conveniently recharge when they need to. 11 12 eMH1 BRACKET Tidiness is half the battle. The new bracket is a practical accessory for your eMH1 with charging cable. It’s easy to unwind the long cable, lowering the risk of tripping in the garage and keeping the wall neat and tidy. 13 14 eMH1 EASY PLUG Ready to assemble – it’s that easy. Our new eMH1 Easy Plug is very practical. All you need is a 16-amp industrial socket in your garage: Assemble, plug in and charge – it’s that easy. 15 16 eMH1 RFID To charge or not charge? Our bracket obviously also comes with a permanently integrated RFID module as contactless access authorisation for semi-public areas. The authorised vehicle owner will receive a user ID card for recharging in company or hotel car parks. 17 18 eMH1 SMART Vehicle fleets: Billing made easy. We’ve thought ahead for you: Our eMH1 smart can transfer electricity consumption data to a back-end system and bill it using a personal user card. This is essential for vehicle fleets and car-sharing. 19 20 eMH2 Our power pack for peak performance When you need a fast recharge, the eMH2 is the right choice. Charging time is reduced considerably thanks to a charging capacity of up to 22 kW. The available charge current is individually adjustable, depending on the current permitted by your domestic supply. Perfect for private and semi-public areas such as underground and undercover, hotel and company car parks. Thanks to its weatherproof housing, the eMH1 is also suitable for outdoor and carport installations. The eMH2 is pre-assembled for installation and ready for use. 21 22 The Mobile Charging Station Mobile charging – wherever you want Our mobile charging station comes in a handy rubber case. We recommend this portable charging option for workshops and anywhere without a wall box or charging pole. All you need is an industrial CEE power socket to plug in the mobile charging station and you can start using it straight away. 23 24 For your safety at home: DC fault current detection DC fault currents can also occur in electric cars and can override the protective function of general building wiring. Our new model is able to detect fault currents and the wallbox can switch off the faulty charging current directly. We are integrating the new module into every eMH1 as standard to ensure that you are protected at home. 25 26 Top 10 advantages of eMH1 1. Space-saving housing with a depth of just 10.5 cm 2. Easy to use 3. Pre-installed ready-to-connect 4. It’s possible to read the operating status at any time via LED 5. Controlled access to the switchgear through a lockable panel 6. Integrated fault current circuit breaker for your safety 7. Additional integrated DC fault current detection 8. RFID with teach-in function and smart update 9. GSM communication module with OCPP standard It can be linked to other charging stations 10. via RS 485 interface 27 eMH1 Technical data eMH1 Basic eMH1 Basic with cable Technical data with cable EVSE501*/EVSE511** Regulations Power supply eMH1 Basic with cable EVSE503/EVSE543*/EVSE573*** EVSE553 in acc. with IEC 61851-1/22 (1) Rated voltage Rated current 1-phase 230 V/16 A, 50 Hz 1-phase 230 V/16 A, 50 Hz 3-phase 400 V/16 A, 50 Hz 230 V 230 V 230 V/400 V 16 A 16 A 16 A 3.6 KW 3.6 KW 11 KW Charging socket in acc. with IEC 62196-2 - - - Charging connector in acc. with IEC 62196-2 Type 1 Type 2 Type 2 Standard cable, length 5 m Standard cable, length 5 m Standard cable, length 5 m Max. output Features Charging cable RCCB, type A, 30 mA and DC fault current monitoring IΔn d.c.> 6mA Circuit-protection devices EVCC control unit in acc. with IEC 61851-1 Mode 3, RS485 interface Terminal block up to 2.5 mm2 Operation temperature -25°C to 50°C Storage temperature -30°C to 85°C Relative humidity 5 to 95% (non-condensating) Class of protection I Degree of protection IP54 Dimensions in mm Weight/each h = 272, w = 220, d = 106 2920 g 3950 g Connection to the building’s supply grid via a separate supply cable with stand-alone miniature circuit breaker (MCB) only.
