NEW SONGS OF CELEBRATION RENDER
Psalm 98
New songs of celebration render to Him who has great wonders done. Love sits
enthroned in ageless splendor; come and adore the mighty One. He has made
known His great salvation which all His friends with joy confess. He has revealed to every nation His everlasting righteousness.
EVENING WORSHIP

The Offertory Anthem
SING PRAISE TO GOD
arr. Lloyd Pfautsch
Sing praise to God who reigns above, the God of all creation. The God of power, the God of love, the God of our salvation. With healing balm my soul He
fills and every faithless murmur stills. To God all praise and glory. What
God’s almighty power hath made His gracious mercy keepeth. By morning
glow or evening shade His watchful eye never sleepeth. Within the kingdom
of His might, Lo, all is just and all is right. To God all praise and glory. The
Lord is never far away, but through all grief distressing, an ever present help
and stay, our peace and joy and blessing. As with a mother’s tender hand He
leads His own, His chosen band. To God all praise and glory. Thus all my
toilsome way along I shall sing aloud Thy praises, that men may hear the
grateful song my unwearied voice now raises. Be joyful in the Lord, O my
heart. Both soul and body bear your part. To God all praise and glory. Amen.

Exodus 20:7
“You shall not take the name of the LORD your God in vain, for the LORD will
not hold him guiltless who takes his name in vain.”
The Confession of Sin and Supplication for Grace
Almighty and everlasting God, who orders all things in heaven and on earth,
and who made all ages a preparation for the coming of Your Son, we confess
before You that we have sinned. We have not loved You as we ought. We have
exercised false priorities; maintained false concepts of God; taken vows we have
not kept; failed to honor Your Lord's Day. Furthermore, we have not loved one
another as we ought. We have failed to give honor to whom it is due; failed to
preserve life; failed in maintaining purity of heart; taken what is not ours;
borne false witness to make ourselves look better; and we have entertained covetous thoughts. O God forgive our sins! We are sorry for them. We look to the
merit and mediation of our Savior, Jesus Christ, to wash our sins away. Grant
that we may grow in true faith and obedience to the honor of Your great name.
Amen.
