Starting from the assumption that firms' innovativeness depends more and more on their capacities to create, acquire, manage, transfer, and store knowledge, the proposed track aims at collecting both theoretical and empirical contributions that evaluate the way values and beliefs may improve or limit firms' Knowledge Management, and innovation, at least. Examining the linkage between culture and innovation is not new at all. A growing body cross-national literature, however, examine how radical innovation varies in firms across the nations (Furman, Porter, and Stern, 2002) mainly focusing on technological innovation, on products and process. Very little is already known about the inner linkage between culture and knowledge that lies upon innovations. Similarly, relatively few investigations address to non-technological innovations, showing how culture and cultural diversity connect to the creation, adoption or diffusion of new and valuable Knowledge within a given organization. According to the above considerations, Multidisciplinary approaches and interdisciplinary contributions will be welcomed and encouraged, in order to give up at a cross-fertilization and to a deep understanding of the complex, and often misunderstood firm's dynamics. Both theoretical and empirical investigations integrating Culture and Cultural Diversity and Knowledge Management will be evaluated.
