In this session Derek Lutz and Len Adams will deliver the opening remarks for the 2014 Forum
and provide an introduction of Bellamy Version 8. Version 8 embodies our theme of

Payroll I (Education): 2014 Highlights - Session 112

In this session we will review the changes to the Payroll and HR systems included in Version
4.07. This will include required changes to the ASEBP health spending file, various updates
to the Sub system, the addition of a new deduction special code, and a program to send an
email message to a group of employees.

A comprehensive overview of the Payroll Employee Master will be addressed. We will review
each field in the Master and identify the tables and codes referenced in the Master. Mass and
individual update processes will also be examined. We will investigate the relation between

Learn how to use SMAP (Substitute Management Application Product) to manage sub
teacher booking and teacher absences. We will learn how to log in to the web application as
a supervisor and as an employee, book a sub and manage bookings. We will discuss various
implementation options, including the ability to use the system to book absences for support
staff.
Service Request Module (SRM) - Sessions 142

In this session we will demonstrate one of our most popular modules, the Service Request
Module (SRM). This module simplifies the process of managing requests from citizens,
council, and internal staff from creation to resolution. Attend this session to see how SRM
allows you to quickly enter, view and track all service requests from initiation and assignment
to the final response, monitor results and analyze statistics. See how SRM is used to track,
manage and enhance the performance of the services being provided, the allocation of
resources and the statistical results. SRM can be extended to the call center and be included
as a component of a new or existing community Web portal. Either way, capturing the
location, description, category, and requester information is fast and efficient. SRM directly
integrates with your email system to simplify the flow of information. It utilizes automated
email responses notifying requestors at each stage of the process by automatically capturing
the internal email correspondence and documentation. Requests can also be directly linked
to our Work Order module automating the process of creating work orders. Implementation
of SRM takes only a few days and it delivers immediate value, streamlined workflows, and
the ability to address, qualify and quantify your customer service needs. Let SRM provide the

This session will provide you with an overview of the functionality of Employee Self Service.
We will be discussing Daily Time Entry, Time-off request and approvals, and new features of
entering mileage and entering hours for salary employees. We will share how other
municipalities have used the module to streamline their operations and make data entry
easier and more accurate.

Take part in a round table discussion on the Payroll and HR modules that will include:
- What does 2015 have in store for the Payroll and Human Resource applications?
- A general discussion on these applications and which enhancements would be most
beneficial to customers.
- An opportunity for customers to share things like their cheat sheets and guides. If you can
provide them to Bellamy ahead of time, we will pick the best ones and make them available

This session will discuss the enhancement to the Payroll / HR application to assist with the Teacher
Workforce Information System (TWINS) for Alberta school divisions. We will walk through the step by
step procedures to update the employee information and how to submit the Fall and Spring
submission.

The Payroll Open Discussion will include a report on plans for 2015 Payroll and HR modules.
The floor will then be open to questions, observations and suggestions from participants. A
payroll programmer will be in the session for reference regarding existing processes, or those
the group would like to amend or add.

This session will provide you with an overview of the functionality of the Employee Self
Service and SMAP modules. We will be discussing security, employee access and the various
capabilities of these web based products. We will review the recent enhancements to the
SMAP lite, including booking subs for support staff, approvals for time off-requests, entering
hours for salaried employees and mileage thru time entry.
Human Resources for Schools (Education) - Session 264

In this session we will review the processing of FTE, location, categories, status and grid and
allowances changes in Human Resources and how Payroll can control how and when these
changes are applied in Payroll. Bellamy will also review the recently enhanced Global
updates for tasks, education and contracts. Bring your ideas and let us know if there are any
other global updates that would make your job easier.
Did you know that there is a status code in Human Resources that is totally independent of
Payroll? We will review how some of our customers are using this code and how it could
benefit your organization.

Building Permits & Inspections - Session 152

In this session we will review the Building Permits and Inspections component of the Bellamy
Land Management solution.
The Building Permits capabilities of the Land Management solution automates and tracks the
processing of permit applications, supports your approval workflow including orders,
automatically calculates required fees, includes inspections scheduling and tracking, and
regulatory reporting.
The Mobile Inspections Thread supports the inspection process for both building permits and
by-law enforcement in either a connected or disconnect mode on a tablet. All the
information necessary to complete inspections and email the results is supported, including
the ability to create a new inspection in the field and attach it to the relevant property. All
inspections results, included geo-coded date stamped pictures, are uploaded to the Building
Permit eliminating many hours of administrative time each week.
Planning & ByBy-Law Enforcement/Property Standards - Session 153

changes, Minor Variances/Consents, Plans of Subdivision/Condominiums, and Municipal

The By-Law component is designed to support the enforcement of by-law and property

Printers and Intelligent Routing - Session 162

Printing from the iSeries has become a much more complicated process than simply getting a
report to print off on a direct connected line printer. This is especially true now with the
implementation and use of print to email, print to archive and intelligent routing.
We will be taking a look at the different types of printers, walk through the process of
creating new ones as well as changing existing ones. In particular we will be focus on the
“Intelligent Routing” print writers including IR constants setup, SMTP settings and TCP/IP
settings.
