Took the Swim Britain companion app for British Gas through the whole development lifecycle. Liaised with
the client to deliver the first stage and helped their development team design the RESTful APIs. Wireframed,
built and delivered the app.
Busuu, Senior Android engineer (3 months)
Busuu's language learning app for Android has been completely re-architected and written from the ground
up. I joined the team to provide guidance and help write the code. User base of over a million.
Samsung (Monitise Create), Senior Android engineer (3 months)
Samsung “My Galaxy” app port from mobile only version to tablet supported version for their range of new
devices coming to the market. Estimated user base of 10 million, to expand to 100 million when rolled out
globally. App to be pre-installed on newer Samsung galaxy devices.

UBC acquired CDR in 2009. I was the sole employee to remain employed from the CDR Chicago office (A
team of 17). In addition to development, I wrote technical and procedural documents.

Originally started part time; after 6 months, they encouraged me to take on a permanent position.
Worked in the London and Chicago offices. Based in Chicago for 6 months. Key technologies used: SQL
Server 2008/2005/2000, .NET 2005 (VB/ASP), J++ (Java).
Manage multiple long and short term projects:
 Re-write of CDR software from ground up (2006 – 2008) – Major project in which myself and two
other developers completely restructured and re-wrote the core company software used by the core
business daily basis. Provided training throughout the transition period.
 Many concurrent projects running alongside the Re-write to help increase efficiency of other
departments within the company. Each and every project seen through to fruition without sacrificing
the Re-write target date.
