A lot of our members become snowbirds and leave for the winter. November is a busy month. We have the Veterans Parade on Nov 8th. Staging is at City Hall at 9:30 am; parade starts at 10:30 am. All veterans and families are invited to attend. For those who can't walk the 1.2 miles, there are 2 CAR CLUBS: Lake Ozark Corvets and Lake Ozark Car Club. Veterans are invited to ride in these cars in the parade. All Elk veterans come on out and be in the parade. Have your families line the parade route. Flags will be provided to wave. Food will be provided in the Lodge after the parade. Let’s have a good showing to honor those who serve our country. The parking lot should be repaired by now. If family won't be here for Thanksgiving, come to the Lodge for dinner. The Lodge will provide the turkey. Bring your favorite dish. The Lodge has had a great year. We received an A1 review by the Grand Lodge District Deputy. It is time to think about who will lead the Lodge next year. We need new people with new ideas. Consider running for office and continue the good work of the Elks. During the winter months, the Lodge will continue to have shuffleboard, washers, cornhole and bar trivia. For a good time, participate in these activities. Prime rib dinners continue to be a great success. Thanks to Sandy and the crew. It is a lot work. They deserve a hand.
